For example, on vacation in Amsterdam, visiting (and participating) in the "coffee shop experience." Then going back to work and failing a subsequent drug test, leading to termination. The law was not broken while it was being consumed, and not on US soil. Just curious.

I will be seeing this house today from a realtor who actually owns the house. She says she is selling this unit b/c she needs to live with her elderly parents. Other than that she is telling me how great the house is. How far can I bargain with the price without offending her? It is out for $358,000. How low do you think I can get it for in a buyers market in Colorado. And how much is mortgage rates? I have a credit score of low 700's... Any advice is appreciated, I am a first time buyer.

After working through temp agencies for many years, I don't understand why the company I provide the work to cannot pay me the same or a couple dollars less than what they are willing to pay the staffing service if they decide to hire me permanent?

I want to buy this NEW house from DR HORTON at full price but they say that I can only buy as Primary home or secondary home.

If I buy as secondary home but rent it out, will the builder take any action. DO THEY IMPLEMENT THESE CLAUSES? My agent says that they don't come back and check.

What is your experience?

A few years ago I consolidated my credit cards to a MBNA loan which is at a ridiculous APR (20% or so).

How can I get out of this loan and pay this debt off with a lower APR?

I have a lot 1/2 acre with a two story work building. Someone is interested cause they know we are going to sell within the next two years. She said she wanted to get the land assessed without the building value. This does not make sense to me. I fear it could undermine my selling efforts in the future because it is a commercial property with 40 year retail history. I think she just wants it dirt cheap. I dont want her premature assessment to taint any future buyers.

The stock market recently plunged. There was a great deal of "pain" on Wall Street, as the wealthier percentage of our citizens and Corporate traders went into a panic. Not once, but several times, the Feds poured money out to rescue the market. However, there was no bail-out for the homeowners losing their homes, the mortgage foreclosures that caused the stockmarket plunge. Is it right for the Feds to bail out wealthier investors, while ignoring the plight of citizens unable to pay their mortgage costs, using their tax money to do it?

I have 2 lawnmowers sitting on my property next to my garage, with a tarp over them. My question is can someone make me move them, or are they free to sit there?

a former tenant who refused to give forwarding address had a parcel delivered to my home 3 weeks after he left. i did nothing with it, but didn't send it back thinking he or a friend would eventually show up and ask for it. now he is threatening me with some vague Federal violation. Am I in the wrong for sitting on the thing? PS it was sent Federal Express, not USPS and there was no signature - it was just dropped off.

Our family income has recently increased and we can now afford to allocate an additional $1000 monthly to paying off some debt and/ or saving. We have a maxed out credit card ($2000) that we basically ignore (!) other than throwing minimum payments at, a personal loan (7 years) of $5000 and an 85K mortgage. We have no arrears or other financial woes but also no significant savings.
How would this money work best for us?

My money was sent via bank transfer when I worked in US as I left Malaysia when I was very young and got no bank account. My aunt was "kind" to suggest me transferring money to her account temporarily until I move back to Malaysia. Now I am back to my homeland and my aunt refuse to return money to me, using the excuse that my dad owe him money! She refuse to see me now and not answering my phone. She sent email to me saying I should give that money to her as she treated me well when I was a little girl, and also said I have the responsibility to pay the debt of my father, her brother, that I don't know at all. I went to her home to see her but her housemate asked security guard to kick me out... I feel helpness now... she also use the same trick to detain my brother's money that suppose to be paying my parents' living cost. I think I don't have a choice other than sue her although she used to be a respected one of mine. Any one know the small claim procedure in Malaysia? Thanks.
