I am working at e-zpass call center in new york right now . it sucks big tyme . i have a degree in electrical and computer engineering . And i chose this job because i was going thru some depression and anxiety problems . But stil there are some independency problems . ( ina nutshell , anxiety if i will be able to live on my own or not )

i been working part time at ezpass in ny for about 6 months now , started march . ( $750 / month )
i want to start looking for an engineering job , but i am worried if all my problems will come back and haunt me , because right now i am happy here i am . eventhough , i feel i should make use of all that money i took in loans and stuff and all those times i spend studying eventhough it was just a mask to make time go .

ther are no jobs in NY for electrical and computer engineers i think .
but do you think i can commute frm ny to ct ?
or ny to MA ?
or do u thik it's too far??

There are some new condos in my area that are selling in the low $300K range. By the time they go on sale, I would have about $10K in savings. I would also plan on living there for only about two years, before my significant other and I buy a home together.

My first question - do you think it'd be worth it? I don't want to rent, but I also don't want to waste my money on a condo I'd only live in for a relatively short time.

Second question - if it WOULD be worth it, would I have enough money to put a down payment on it? What kind of loan/mortgage would I have to get for it, and how long would I be paying it off? If I sold the condo after two years, would I likely get my money back for it?

Please use the most baisc layman terms you can, and please explain any mortgage/loan terms, as I'm not at all familiar with them. Thanks!

I want to increase my credit rating, so I have been putting small purchases like trips to the grocery store on my card. I pay it off every month. I have had this card for over five years, and have never missed a payment. My limit has been slowly increased over the years and is now $5,000, but my balance is never over $500.

Do creditors veiw you as a high risk if you have a high limit on your card?

Okay, so here's the deal. Going thru a divorce right now and my ex hadn't been paying the vehicle as he should have ~ kept deferring payments to the end of the loan and now we still owe $11,000 on a '96 van. Horrible, huh? Gets worse. My parents are on this van loan. My mom is very ill with cancer and because hubby and I are divorcing, having his name on this loan is driving my dad insane. Literally. Even better, that ex of mine didn't pay state taxes in three years so now I can't even drive the thing cuz there's a lien on the registration!!! I moved out of the state we had been living in several months ago, and now am really looking hard for a resolution to this. My old banker had once let it slip they they would be willing to settle for less. Should check with my new bank to see if they would be willing to finance it for me? Several months ago, I had applied for a loan to get the money for the lien but was denied, but this would be secured. Do you think there is hope? Better idea?
