sounds like you have written proof that the money is "yours" that is the main thing -- i would get a lawyer and have him write a letter to her --that alone should get her to change her mind.!!! if not go ahead and take her to court!!!

I guess she can keep your money. She said your Dad owes her money. What I like best about this story is that it happened to your brother, too. How stupid can you be? Was this a money laundering scheme or what? Why would you put money in your Aunt's account when she kept your brothers money? Anything from Malaysia stinks as far as I'm concerned.

Nobody is responsible for anybody elses debt.
You can sue her, yes. But no need to sue if you simply report it as theft.
Tell her if she doesn't return the money you will rpeort it to the police, that stealing is criminal and can result in prison time.
If she is stupid enough to lend money to a dab creditor, its her own fault.

Sue her *** and remind her that he email was bullshit "She sent email to me saying I should give that money to her as she treated me well when I was a little girl" Yeah well, GIVE means voluntary, what she's doing is stealing....and it was her obligation to be nice to you as a child- she was an adult an your aunt and thats what aunts do........yeah I'd sue her.

Do you have written proof that she has your money in her bank account. If you don't, you are out of that money and I hope you learn your lesson.

If you are of age and can handle money, you have the right to that money. She cannot refuse it to you.
