Has anyone used westernunion.co.uk site to send money from UK to abroad by using western union. They offer an online service where you can pay by credit/debit card.

I want to know if you pay by credit card, would it be a "cash advance" or a "purchase"?

I really want too get some contacts, but neither my family nor I have insurance. What are some places that have cheaper offers? I already went to Walmart, and though they had specials on contacts, the eye exam was over $100.

I keep taking these personality tests that companies use now. Some how I cannot seem to pass them. I'm not crazy, I'm not psycho, I'm just normal. What in the hell are these tests looking for? I'm sick and tired of them and keep getting myself down because these people want to skip an interview. WHY????

My husband works at a local sushi restaurant as a sushi chef. The only way he could be a chef was if he went full time. But the only way he can be full time is salary. Well my husband took the job but soon realized that he was working 56 hours a week, 6 days a week, with only Mondays off. His boss won't let him take off a day no matter what it is for, because they are understaffed but refuses to hire anyone else. But to top it all off for working 112 hours in two weeks he gets paid a little under 500 dollars. It just doesn't seem right to me. Is there anything than can be done? Also the sushi bar makes tips and the waiters tip out to the sushi bar, but the owner is taking them off the top because he makes 40 dollars in tips in a two week period, and it's been counted over 100 dollars in one night and it's supposed to be split three ways between the sushi chefs (3). What can we do about this?

I have read some of the previous answers and understand that to make it in the insurance business, you have to work hard and put in hours. I have a friend who sells health insurance and know that it can be lucrative. However, I am interested in knowing how you chose which line of insurance sales you wanted to get in to. I have been exposed to health insurance when I worked for Medicare so there would be some familiarity there for me but somehow selling property/casualty seems more interesting.

Are different personalities better suited to one or the other?

Is it more a personal preference?

I would like to hear from both sides especially if any of you have done both.

sub-prime mortgages ballooned from a marginal, once in a blue moon product to big business in the past 5 years.

in that period, there hasn't been a real estate market downturn, nor an interest rate cycle, nor a recession.

so, the financial markets have no experience to rely on when they estimate what proportion of these sub-primes might prove to be losses. It could be 3% or it could be 30% -- there just isn't much to base an estimate on.

but the volume is large ... 100 billion or more in assets at book value.

so the markets don't know if this is a 3 billion or 30 billion loss.

and when the markets don't know, what they do is refuse to buy the stuff. and refuse to buy stocks that rely on the stuff.

therefore, mortgage houses, investment bankers, hedge fund sponsors, and traditional banks shares and commercial paper are all being shunned until we know more about the size of the losses.

the most specialized mortgage shops are hardest hit.

good thinking??

The wife was told that she had to pay her new husband's account from a few years back or they would shut off her power. She was told they could do that because he was having benefit of the power. They don't mind paying it, but they are demanding an enormous (for them) amount of money and only the wife is currently employed and they have to move because the house they are renting is sold. They just can't do it. Help! I need to know quick

Is this something they should have done long ago? Their timing is horrible. Let people get in trouble and then jerk out the rug and then give them one bandaid when they need 100 stictches.
