do you have to VERIFY with your current job or prove you will be attending the education/facility?

Even if you prove that you are going to school, the company is not obligated to give you a leave of absence. You can ask, but they can say no. If they are willing to give you the leave at all, they can ask for proof that you are actually doing what you said you were going to.

I guess that would depend on your employer. How they handle leave-of-absence is up to them.

Many employers would not gaurantee your job if you went back to school.
