We've decided that I'll provide the down payment, but he has to get the mortgage in his name. I can put 50% down from different sources of income and my savings. His fico is about 580-600 as a mid score. He has 7 months of stable work history, and we're also both full time students.

I work for a marketing firm who specializes in website that have been optimized for search engines. I am thinking of becoming an exclusive 'search engine optimizer' but am wondering if this is too broad of a category. Can one specialize in this and make a decent living? Thank you to anyone who answers with good advice!

I live in California and will be buying a new car soon. I'm thinking about going to Oregon to buy the car, where there is no state sales tax, and then driving back to CA. The removal of sales tax would come out to about a 2K savings.

Are there any flaws in this plan?

Thanks, Jeff

Still no phone call from her. The maintnance guy here at the apts. told me that its the lady next door who has tons of roaches, but they arent doing anything. I stopped storing my food in the kitchen cabinets, and I clean my kitchen every night before I go to bed, and I still see roaches. What can I do?

It is a 4 minute movie presentation (free to view), that describes a brand new way people will be making money from home using the internet.

You probably already do this, but you don't get paid for it. Well, why not get paid for it?

Have a look!

We purchased a condominium at pre construction a few years ago. Recently, we had our walk through and were very disappointed in the execution of the construction. Therefore, we forfeited our 5% deposit.

What I want to know, is can I claim this as a loss in my taxes and if so, how should I claim it?

Hi is it possible that if you had a million pound in a high interest savers account, you could live off the interest. Of course it's incredibly hard to make a million pound (my dream) however this will be a great motivation for me and many others. eg 5% interest = £50,000 interest a year - tax (most probable = around £35,000 this is more than enough to live decentely. What are your thoughts?

im 16 and for the past month or so i have worked at chuck e cheese. i applied to a whole bunch of clothing stores as well as jewel. i really hoped something would come up, and when CEC called i jumped at the opportunity to earn cash and to start being more independent. its not that i dont like the job--the people are amazing and the kids are so cute! but one manager i cant stand, i work between 6 and 8 hour shifts--ususlly closing--and i usually work 4 or 5 days a week for $7 and hour. and if they say im getting off at 10, its usually 10:30 or 11. i never get off on time. then osco (jewel) called me in for an interview. they are offering flexible hours and $7.55 and hour....and evening shifts from 5-10 getting off at 10. id be stocking shelves and computer work and other stuff..not bad right? so do i stay at CEC or go next door to osco? again! CEC isnt a bad place but i dont know what to do? my best friend says its a new experience and not to think of it as giving up. help? ♥

Some companies offer a separate purchasing card and t&e card. If you don't have a t&e card, they want you to use your personal purchasing card for travel expenses and they will reimburse you after the trip. What is the logic behind this? Why do they not want you to use the purchasing card for your travel expenses directly related to work?
