When paying vendors, they often offer a 'term discount' if you pay within a certain period. My accounting software wants me to debit the entire amount to the expense account, and credit AP the amount after the discount, and credit the remainder to another account. Anyone know what type of account should be used for these discounts?

I have a couple of cards: Capital One, Bank of America, Best Buy Store Card, Best Buy Mastercard, and a Guitar Center Card. Of them all after I pay the balance, I'd like to get rid of my Capital One card (hate it and at 22.80% interest) and the Best Buy MasterCard. All the others I wish to keep. Will this have a huge impact on my credit score ? I've had my capital one card for nearly 2 years now and I've have my Best Buy Master Card for about 3 months and I'm almost done with payments on the Best Buy card.

there is an older guy at work i found attractive but thought was rude, so avoided him. i decided to win him over because i do have to work with him sometimes. i am a very friendly, open person in general and NEVER crossed the line. we never touched remotely, were never close in proximity, or talked about anything to do with dating. i am generally a good girl who just wants to be cool with people. i do not wear revealing clothes at my job, yet he was always checking out my boobs, in an obvious way, which made me uncomfy, so i always crossed my arms in fact. one day he started saying hi and since we joke around, on my break, i went up and said hi at his cubicle. i was like i just came to say hi and he says, "hi" obnoxiously. i told him he was giving me a mean look and he starts babbling about the color printer. i get curt and leave, embarassed and annoyed at how arrogant he was towards me. i have been ignoring him and now he always stared at me (non-sexually) and holds the door open?

I went to an a job interview for a job, and the man insinuated that I pretty much had the job, since I have some recommendations from other people who work there (his managers). He didn't make an offer, though. He said we should meet with his boss to increase the chances of a higher salary for me than we he had budgeted.
During the next 3 week, I contacted him two times via e-mail. He answered after the second e-mail, apologized for not answering earlier. He told me to tell him which day of this week worked for me to meet with his boss. I answered, but he has not replied. It's almost the end of the week. Should I contact him via phone to increase chances of meeting tomorrow? Or should I just "wait it out"? I don't want to look desperate (I'm not), but also don't want to show lack of initiative.

I have a 30 year adjustable home mortage. I have paid on this loan for 24 years. I have 6 years to go and only owe $13,500 on the loan now. Adjustable rates are on the rise and I am on a fixed income with perfect credit. I don't know a lot about refinacing. Is it worth refinacing for just $13,500?

Anyone work miracles?
She's been here 10 months and most training hasn't clicked for her (basic office /computer /phones) She is mostly reliable on phones and some filing but the rest is a crap shoot. The boss said she can stay so I have to find the silver lining or miracle. Anyone got any tips? Ideas? Has anyone been able to turn a similar situation around? I have tried several different angles, types of training, styles, reference material, etc. but it's barely penetrated. At 10 months here she's somewhere around where I thought she'd be at 3 months. I'm hoping you people can help me out. Thank you!!!

I am very interested in a home that is going up for sheriff's sale at the end of the month. My question is are you able to view the inside of a home prior to the sale? Also, does anyone know if you are able to make an offer or purchase the home prior to the day of sale? I live in Ohio if that makes a difference. I have also contacted the sheriff's department several times but the person who I am directed to talk with is not available until the middle of next week.
Thanks for your help in advance!

I've asked a general question about tax sales before, but just now I thought of another angle that I'd like to hear more about. What are all the things that can go WRONG legally, etc when purchasing tax sales? What do potential investors/buyers need to be aware of, on the lookout for, etc so that they don't get more than they'd bargained for?

I work for a big, professional company and we're expected to dress appropriately. I have a co worker who wears little tank tops and tight pants all the time. Today she showed up in a little lacy tank top that shows off her entire bra, not to mention the material is so thin that you can see EVERYTHING. It's white and lacy and she isn't even bothering to cover it up. She looks like a streetwalker. It sounds really petty but this girl thinks that she can get away with everything, all she does all day is surf the web and talk on her cell phone.

What should I do?
