Do it legally and thru the courts. It is called Emancipation of minors. I am not sure what state you are in, so I cannot give you the specific rules for your area but the link below is for a wikipedia article on it.

Emancipation is not easy, but then being legally able to rent and move out isn't either. In most states, you will have to prove you are mature enough to make it on your own and not ruin your chances of making something of yourself.
16 is a tough age. You feel you are old enough to be in control, but think about all of the issues you will need to control. Do you have a job? A budget? A car? Can you afford insurance and gas or a bus pass. Are you thinking of dropping out of school?
I would recommend talking to a school councilor, or if that won't work, email me your city and state and I will get you a list of free youth councilors who will not judge, just try to help.
Before you move out, look around, look at money and time. Between school and work, will you have any more time to do the things you want to do now?
Best of luck.

You need to get emancipated from your parents, if you haven't already. Otherwise, your parents can call the police and have you removed from where ever you'll be staying and put back home. I'd move in with a friend and pay rent, because most places will not rent without a credit report (which you will not have any credit established yet) or without steady employment and a deposit, which you probably have neither. Unless you can find a month to month tenancy.

I don't think you should move out. You're too young, unless you have a decent job that can help you financially or some support, or a good job. There's too much going on. You should stay home while you can and suck it up for awhile. I mean, think about paying the rent, bills (electric, water, internet, insurance), a car, laundry, paying for fooooood and all of those stuff. =) I hope you make a decision you won't regret! =)

Check the local newspaper listings or the property management companies in your area. Alot of people won't even give anyone under 18 an application. If your not being abused I would wait. You only have 2 years left and you'll be on your own. Living on your own can suck sometimes, your parents won't be responsible. YOU will be responsible for everything.

Call child protective services they will put you in Foster Care if your home life is abusive.
If it isn't abusive do what your parents request and save your money until you finish college. Even if you can find someone who will rent to you at 16 paying the rent, utilities, transportation, clothing, food and other expenses will make it hard to finish school.

this is not the best thing for you since you can't sign a lease at your age most states laws require you to be 21 and some 18 so unless you have a friend you can live with or you can afford a house/mobile home on your home. this is going to be a very hard situation for you.

you can't legally move out unless you're emancipated...which means your parents abuse you...which means the government would probably help u find a place and its a long process...but even if u try to move out...ur not going to be able to find a landlord that will rent out to you because ur 16....theres a lot to moving out and u cant jsut decide it over night... its a long process and if u were serious about it then you should start looking at what you need to move out...like do u have a job?...if ur getting paid minimum wage then u can forget about it...u'll need to work HARD in order to be able to survive urself...thers food, bills, clothing, school be prepared good luck

Craigslist under rooms for rent? But at 16 you might have a hard time finding someone willing to do it.
