Today you can, but tomorrow they should have changed the locks. Call the landlord first in case they have a problem. If they put your stuff in storage it may cost you to get it back or they may dispose of it if they aren't required to keep it 30 days.

If you were served by the sheriff and you and your things were put on the street, no you may not reenter the property.
If the notice is notifying you that an eviction action is going to be filed if you are not out by the 2nd, then you have not been evicted yet and may still enter the property. If you wish to fight the eviction, you must answer the summons very quickly or the LL will get a default judgment against you.

In California you should have been given a 30 day notice. There has been more than enough time to get your things out, but you still have up to midnight on the 2nd. If the landlord tries to prevent you from going into your apartment or house, you can report him to renter's rights. He has to give you access to your possessions until the time is completely up. Dont allow a landlord to bully you. You have rights too. I dont know where you are in California, but you can try contacting Housing Rights Center at 520 S. Virgil Ave. Suite 400 Los Angeles Calif 90020. They should be able to put you in touch with someone closer to you.

Yes, if it is in good faith.
For example, if you trip on something and break something, they will think you are being criminally motivated.
