I have a friend who has lived in her apartment for 5 months. She signed a one year lease. Well this weekend, my car was broken into. My stereo was stolen. This happend to 6 other cars within the same apartment, along with a murder. She is scared. I don't blame her. The manager of the apartments told her within 3 months the gate entrance would be fixed. This was when she first signed the lease. Well it hasn't. Don't think it will ever be. This apartment isn't safe. People from the other apartments walk over to hers through fences all throughout the night and are loud. Is there anyway possible to break this lease? Whats the point of living in an apartment where you don't even feel safe? Anyone know what to do??

I'm in the market to buy a house. People keep saying that I should wait, but how long? There are homes and condos for sale everywhere you turn! (I live in Los Angeles Co.) If I see a home that is $600,000.00 now, what do you think the asking price would be if it was still on the market in November?

I posted ( I need a $25,000 unsecured loan )

I got several answers and most of the people are from out of the country and want me to fill out this form: Plus a Bank Account # for them to wire the funds. It definatly seems like a scam I just want to hear some feed back on it.

Thanks

My fiance and I are looking to buy our first home and would like to know the percentage of our monthly income that should go towards our mortage payment. We've heard everything between 10% to 25% to 50%. We would like to know a safe percentage rate so we know how much house we can afford. Thank you!

Right now, she has a lump sum in a Genworth annuity that is only returning about 4%. Any money she takes out now is taxable (it was non-taxable going in). Is there a way to transfer the balance or at least the priciple to another higher yielding annuity? What kind of fees or penalties would she be looking at? Is there another investment that may have a higher yield? Who can answer her questions... because I am clueless. :-)

does a rock have more value than a dolar to you?
why money is so important
i bet the guy who invented money was rich
and the guys who make more money with their machines on some part of u.s.a too
why do we value money so much?
like gold...
it doesnt do anything at all
its pretty...yes...is it hard? no... can resist high temperatures? no...
and money...its just a tool
i can make a ring out of a dollar
but you can buy a golden ring wih 400 bucks
so people...is it necessary to make our life miserable for money
and credit cards! ah yes you can pass money from credit cars
with money that you dont even have
ha! what if a new kind of money arrives and the old dollar dont work at all? everybody would start from zero just because some person say we have to use money?
will bill gates get poor that easily?
answer please :]
i know i sound mean and stupid at the same time
but i just wanted to ask this to everyone of you
thank you

I'm in half way through High School and I just started thinking about what I should do with my life and I don't know what. I want some input from everyone to see whats going to be in demand in the next ten years. I have no talents that I can think of, except that i'm pretty good with technology and interested in it. I like science and media also. What should I get a degree in?

A friend claims she gets a refund check from a life insurance policy pertaining to her g.grandfather for 4grand /6 months. No taxes are taken and she has to cash it or it will be lost and she will lose the value. What kind of policy could she possibly have and where do I sign up?It doesn't seem to hurt her chances of getting welfare or public assistance or disability insurance so I am assuming this is a new thing. I am dying to know what kind and where i can get one. Please let me know.

I currently have two credit cards with a Credit, one with u.s.bank and a personal line of credit with usbank as well and a Department store credit cards. Last time I checked my credit score, it was at 835. That was before my usbank credit card and line of credit. Although I mostly use one credit and two of them are zero balance, would having four cc and a line of credit hurt my score? On the one that i use the most my balance ranges from 20%-40$ of my limit. It goes up and down? Expert advice please!

How should I approach the managers so that I can still decline the position on good terms? It is a position in retail, and I just thought about how much I need the money instead of will it be the best situation for me.

Do you think it possible to consistently beat the best stock investor’s of our times? Or should we assume that the yield’s made by the likes of say Warren Buffet are too great to be replicated? I ask this after running into this very interesting blog the other day (I really like the way the writer of it writes):
