Is there a site where I can find which sector a stock is classified as (Technology, Consumer Staples, Industry, etc)? Sometimes it's obvious from the company name, but a lot of times it isn't. I mean also stocks which are not components of an index.

My boyfriend was so sick he did not hear the alarm and basically slept all day, he was awaken by the cleaning crew who takes care of our building, later we found out that his job called the police to check if he was home, and his boss came by and also pounded on the door. The next day he went to work only to be fired. The HR told him he was an excellent, and talented employee but he could just not call in. He tried to explain that he did try to call his boss on his cell when he work up later that day. The HR in so many words called him a lier. Is this legal? Can this be considered work related harassment?

was wondering about the possibility of starting up my own insurance company covering cars. do i need a license to do this. do i have to make myself known to anyone that i am insuring people to drive, eg :- government, police?

I live in Georgia if that matters. I've heard that if your under 18 and someone else is claiming you as a dependent then you get all state and federal taxes back. but which ones are they and am I right on this. I will seek a professionals help come april but I was just wondering for now. (&& yes I'll pick a B.A.) Thanx!

I was suppost to have my surgery done a while back, but the money just never seemed to turn up.

I'm turning 15 in a couple months and I am babysitting my butt off, but its just not enough...
What is a way I can raise money for my surgery other than babysitting???

OK, last week I took a new job at this one company, basically working in an office. The dept. I work in hired me and this other woman to do the order processing and shipping. Her and I get along perfect so there's no problem there. This is what the problem is, on our software that keeps track of customers and clients, its very important that there are no duplicate entries of any same customer so we have to straighten the dupe'd records out. Our boss told us this lady from another dept. would be around to show us how to fix that up the first day, and she didn't even come by to show is how, and hasn't for the rest of the week. Nevertheless she does like to rag on us about duplicate entries in the database, and we tell her we don't know how to take them off and on Friday the boss leaned on her to get off her *** and show us how but she weaseled away by asking us where today's mail was and we told her we already brought it out to everyone and then she rags us saying only she can do that.

I got a saxophone back in December. now the payments are a little over 250 a month. back about four months ago I lost my job and have been looking ever since. I missed the past four months on the payments. What I wanted to know is... if I used some of the money from my student loan (I'm going to be a music major) to pay it off... will it still hurt my credit score? the saxophone is 16 months same as cash.

or really.. what is the best thing I can do?

What would be the correct adjusting entry if you needed to credit merchandise inventory? I mean, say you have 120,000 on paper but a physical count reveals only 110,000. Where does that other 10,000 go? Miscellaneous selling expense?

I recently leased a building and am going to open a bar ( this building has been a bar before ) , however i had to have the lease to apply for the liquor license. Whats something i could do in the meantime with the building to make money ( it takes 2-6 months to get the liquor license ). Oh btw its in Ellis County, Texas, USA. I am stupid for deciding to become a casino dealer when I was 21 years old. I started out working in the casino cage making $9 hour thinking to myself this will never get me anywhere I need to make more money than this. I began to talk with dealers that worked there and they told me this is a great job you make great money for playing games all day. I was naive I was seeing dollar signs before my own happiness and began to go to school for it

2 months later I got my first dealing job at the Claridge making approximately $15.50 tips and $4.00 base. Things were ok I seemed to like it for a while. BUT this business began to rear its ugly head. Mandatory Holidays and Weekends, Unfair Callout Point Systems, Aggressive Supervisors, NO benefits ( work 40 hours and they still call you part time) NO chance for promotion (When youre hired for part time dealer, thats pretty much all you will be for as long as you work there) Bad Schedules with different time starts and different days off every

I don't know what my passion is.. I don't know what I want to do in life.. All I know is I hate working in manufacturing, that's nothing to be proud of and I dread going in to work every day... Let say i buy 10,000 worth of shares in one company.
At $50 that means i have 200 shares.

A week after i buy the shares the company release a big product and shares go up to $60. If i sell my shares the other day that mean i have a $10 increase for every share? So that mean i just made $2,000(200x10) in just 1 week.

Is that even possible to do? Or is this bussines more complicated?
