I am trying to buy a house and expect to close in 45 days. My money is tight due to down payment, closing costs, moving costs, etc. I am thinking of getting a forbearance on my student loan so I save some money but I don't want to do it if it will lessen my credit score and jeopardize my mortgage approval.

He wrote up a contract to repay me within 2 weeks of the loan, expecting a big compensation check that never came in time. He was in desperate need to buy a truck, tools, etc. No will, no savings account, no credit card. He has a sister and fiance that say he owed them money too. He has a 17 year old child, they say he gets the truck that I bought and I get none of his possessions. What do I do? New York State, USA.

What's the difference between a parent company owning 80% of a subsidiary and a holding company owning 80% of a subsidiary?

Are they different just by name? Or is there a real difference between the two?

Is it illegal or wrong in anyway for the realtor to laugh at you and hang up the phone?

My husband and I found a house that we really love, we know the town, the street, and the neighbors very well. (Husbands grandparents live next door to the house). When the house sold to the current owners 7 years ago we know that they bought it for 39,000. We know the cent. h/ac has been put it and we know they haven't done anything else. They are asking 72,000 for the house now, and I have to say that there isn't a house in the area with pricing like that. So I called the realtor and asked her to offer 45,000 for the house (still more than most the houses in the area). She laughed at me and hung up. I know the current owners are building a very expensive house and are currently paying two mortages. The house has been on the market for a year already. Is the realtor using discrimination and not offering the seller our offer.

and also reduce my yearly taxes? The previous owners had torn down a wall on the 1st floor to make a front to back living room, which reduced the amount of bedrooms from 3 to 2 (which is fine with me). I'm wondering if this is going to reduce the tax rate?

I read this article http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,288635,00.html
that explains that Sprint wireless is cancelling over 1000 contracts because those customers complain too much. They have sent out between 1000 and 1200 termination letters giving customers 1 month to find another service provider. Sprint says these customers take up too much customer service time for problems Sprint feels are "resolved" problems.

Um, if the problems were resolved, why are your customers still upset and still calling? Obviously the problems are not resolved and instead of providing quality customer service it sounds to me like Sprint would rather cut their ties with the complainers and sweep those problems under the rug.

I'm sorry but I expect good service for what I pay for my cell provider. I actually see this as an advantage to those who are being terminated, they are being let out of a contract and can find good service somewhere else!

What is your opinion?? I think it's bad business.

i was told that it would take up to a year to learn this position little did I no that the year would fly by in 8 weeks and now I am not allowed to make a mistake with having to go all the way back and start training all over again which confuses me even more. If I do have a question she doesn't have time as she told me my position is on 10% of the business and she has others to manage that need her however the others have been here a year or more. I am very furstrated as everyone around her seems intimided by her so I feel there is no on to talk to about the situtation. ANY and all suggestions are welcome. signed me out the frying pan and it to the fire what was I thinking

They have been having trouble with one of their children (smoking cigarettes), and there are four or five burns in one of the carpeted rooms. I imagine the whole carpet will have to be replaced when they move out. I'm assuming we can keep their security deposit for this. Has anyone else had this happen in their rental?

Due to inability to find work I had to miss a rent payment for the month of May. I still have been unable to find employment, but have managed to pay rent for June and July. My lease is Up August 15th but my Landlord is threatening with an eviction over May's rent only....
Is there anyway, I can be evicted and thrown out by the time my lease is up in the middle of August?

Please stick to the question and don't reply with ask someone for a loan or anything like that....

We moved in to our new apt and found out recently that it was flooded out by the apt above us. The guy moved out before his lease was up it was so bad. They didnt even redo the carpet. I found out it was flooded b/c my clothes and towels smelled like mildew and I was breaking out from it. I guess I am having an allergic reaction. I asked neighbors and they were supprised the manager never told us. Which is why the apt went up for grabs so quickly. I wanted to know the laws on them not telling me b/c not everything I own is ruiend and you cant get mildew out unless you dispose of it and I am haveing a reaction. I know when you buy a house if they dont tell you it floods it is againts the law but what about apts?

Question: I am currently pregnant and was wondering do I have to wait until my baby is born to claim
Fed-2 State-2
or can I do it now.

Everyone tells me to put ONE exemption on form W-4, but if I do what the form says, it should be 2. Can someone explain? I'm single with one job:

A: Enter "1" for yourself if you one else can claim you as a dependant... TRUE... so I enter 1

B: Enter "1" if you are single and have only one job; or... TRUE... so I enter another 1

H: Add lines A-G and enter total here: 1+1=2

So why isnt it 2 exemptions for a single person with one job??

Should I put 1 or 2 ???
