Never take comments personally. Try to understand their issues from their point of view. Try to find common ground (something you can verbally share with that person). Be more attentive to listening, and focus less on talking

As this is a behavioural interview question, you'll be expected to find an example of dealing successfully with difficult people. The sort of skills you need to demonstrate are:

* Fairness
* Discussing problems with individuals in private
* Making sure you get to the root of the problem
* Finding a solution that everyone will accept

But start by saying that you are an easy going person who seems to get on with everyone.

Pick on difficult traits, not people.

And use the answer to show you're a team player.

You might say that the type of person you find difficult is one who doesn’t pull their weight or isn’t worried about the standard of their work because it reflects badly on the rest of the team.

I was asked this question many time at job interviews. Just try to think if there have been any situations where you had to deal with difficult people/friends/family memvers,if you have, tell them how you have successfully dealt with them. If you have not, just be honest and said I have not had the opportunity to deal with difficult people, but i do welcome the opportunity to learn the skill. and also it depends on how bad you want the job. If dealing with diffcult people is a major part of the job (assume you have never done it). I highly suggest you do not try to come up with a fake answer. because it might just back fire on you.

good Luck

A lot depends on your background. If you have not worked before, you can try and find an example in your own life where you had to deal with someone like maybe an ignorant Customer Service person and tell how you kept calm, spoke clearly and to the point until you received the service you required.

It has been my experience that most difficult people want to be listen too so listen to them and then repeat back to them what you have heard so that you understand and ask what they would like you to do about it. then go from there and decide what the best solution would be

First you listen to them
Then you agree that there is a problem and do not know why it happened
Then you ask what can we do to solve this problem
Then you negotiate in a calm and collective manner
Be friendly, never defensive, takes the wind right out of their sails
