when i asked him what he would do if i said no he said he could not understand why i would not "help him out" and would have to reconsider our relationship as he would do it for me.Now i could do this but feel funny him asking me and not at all happy with his anwser. This debt is not from a medical problem but from his last divorce and money trying to "wine and dine" the old gf he left his wife for(not me)

So..after making a settlement payment which was supposed to end any more collection attempts, I get another invoice asking for the remaining balance.
I call their accounting department and they tell me that they never sent out any such settlement offer but they did receive my payment. the operator, who wont give me her name, tells me that she can offer me a settlement offer right on the spot though.
I tell her I already received a settlement offer and paid it. She told me to fax a copy of that settlement in and said that the agency would know what to do.
I'm feeling a bit nervous about this..seems to me like something fishy is going on here.
Why would they have no record of the settlement offer being sent? What should I do? Thanks!

If I purchase a guitar that cost me around $800.00 with a credit card that has a limit of a $1,000, and send payments of $100.00 each month will I still pay interest or not?

I know the payments will be around $25 or $30 a month but if I send in $100.00-150 each month will I still pay interest on it or not? Can someone please explain it to me in detail please. Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks.

Tim

It's been over seven years since her last job interview. What would be the appropriate level of attire for this occasion? She has a couple of business suits to wear, some dresses, or should she just wear nice slacks and a nice blouse? The person interviewing her will be a woman.

Thanks

I live in a neighborhood that is turning bad very fast. I need to get out. However, I owe $109,000 and I can probably only get $90-95,000 for the home. It's so bad right now that I am willing to just walk away from it. I make decent money so is a short sale out of the question? My realtor recommended a deed in lieu of foreclosure. I don't want to mess up my credit though. Should I tap my 401k to cover the potential loss on my home? Take out a loan to cover the loss? Or worst case scenario foreclose even though I have no financial hardships? I am in dire straits. Please help!!

what i don't understand is....if teachers are the "professionals" teaching doctors, and lawyers and other high paying jobs....how come they get paid so much less??? I mean....wouldn't it make sense for the person training future doctors and lawyers to be paid just as much, if not more? after all, teachers are the ones "creating" these people....

i guess this is directed more towards college professors

my second question is
why do k-12 teachers get paid so little?

well, i live in florida and from what i see, the less money the teachers make, the dumber they make the kids...lol

In February of this year I was named a trustee for a revocable trust established by my deceased grandfather for the benefit of my 57 year-old aunt who is not good at managing her money. The original trustees elected to effectively abdicate their positions after only nine months due to the money-management work involved. My question is twofold: 1) please confirm that I am responsible for filing tax returns for the trust and 2) please confirm that I am NOT responsible for filing tax returns for the period prior to becoming trustee (I would like to pass this back to the original trustees if possible). A tax returns for 2006 has not been filed yet.

I had my house listed with two separate realtors. The first one did nothing but let the house sit with a yard sign for 8 months. She did not advertise it, do open houses or bring anyone. The second did open houses, advertised on TV and the paper and got traffic through but they were looky loos. I thought price may be the thing and I could only go lower by paying only one realtor(the buyer's if he has one) and saving on the commission from a listing realtor. My home is now listed with owners.com. How effective is it to sell ones own house?
