I have always loved writing and I heard that you can write articles on your own then submit them to different publications? Please explain how this works and how I can do it.

to anyone other than our employers, but every time we turn around there is someone else asking for it. Cell phone companies, doctors, the gas company, the electric company, the water company, etc. It is crazy if you think about the number of times each day someone asks for your social security number. So what's the deal? Why have we been told for years we don't have to give this number to anyone other than our employers. I tried to refuse to give this once and was told I had to provide it. Does anyone know the rationale or logic behind this?

I am having a heck of a time identifing his rolex. It looks an awful lot like the pictures I have seen of an air king, but it does not say it on the face. It is not a datejust, as the face does not display the date. I also am having a hard time finding the seriel number. I have heard it is between the lugs on the back. Cannot find it there, however I do see a 5 digit number stamped on the wristband in a couple of places. And, the crystal is scratched, and I am wondering how much that may cost. From what I understand, he sent it to the Manhattan facility to be serviced every 4-5 years, and if I recall correctly, it was serviced very recently. All your help is greatly appreciated.

I was cleaning some old files and found an 8 month old check from a company I did some work for as an independent contractor. The check did not have a "cash by" date on it, so I deposited it into my bank.

The check did not clear, payment was stopped. The reason why it was not immediately cashed (not that it matters) was because I was very ill for the 2 1/2 months after that check was issued, and I simply forgot about it. The company knew I was very ill, but instead of calling me about it, they stopped payment.

I have emailed them to issue another check, but got no response. I looked at my 1099 form, and they declared this as money paid to me, which means I must pay taxes on it. The taxes will be several hundred dollars.

My email was very professional and nice, but now I'm PO'ed. Am I wrong, or am I entitled to this money? What should I say in the letter I am writing them? Or, should I just have my attorney write them a letter?

The b*stards have brought in a £10 monthly charge if you don't have a certain amount of money in your account. This helps to slip me into the red again and the charges are still £25 each. I have already claimed my past charges back.

With the shift in the emphasis of the economy (from Industrial to Information), business is usually defined by customer relations instead of products and factories. Also, sales success depends on adding value instead of meeting sales quotas.

Therefore, as a customer, how would you like the salesperson to add value to make shopping for a car worthwhile?

How do you pay taxes if you are being paid by cash???

I’ve been working at petrol station for a month and they pay only by cash. I’ve asked them to pay me through a bank and provide proper payslips with tax codes and everything. But that is taking them 3 weeks now. I was promised to get paid weekly but I was just given £50 because my wages are being delayed. (£50 for the whole month that I’ve been working there) Everyone else is being paid by cash on time, but as far as I know that’s illegal because you don’t pay taxes that way. There fore my question is, if I agree to be paid by cash how do I pay taxes?
Thank you for any help

I currently have a flat with no equity in it but no debts either that I am currently renting out. The rent doesn't cover the mortgage but most of it.... I would like to purchase a house with my partner and keep the flat would this affect the amount they lend me? If so is there a particular rule that lenders follow or is it down to your personal circumstances?
