I have been there, it is not easy, I feel for you. I hope your situation is such that you do not have to go through retraining like I did. My best answer, is to let them do the talking, and keep your responses short and to the point. Do not look away during an interview, as this might be mistaken, that you are hiding something or not being totally honest with them. Prepare a short resume not longer then 2 pages, and not shorter than a full page. Highlight your skills, and good characteristics about yourself. A lot of times they will ask you how you handle a difficult situation with fellow workers and clients, always be positive. We all know there are individuals that are hard to get along with. Do not say anything negative about your ex-employer.

Well it depends on what job you are interviewing for. Number one rule is make a good first impression. An employer ususally knows within the first minute if you have a good chance at a job. Looks is big factor. Dont wear torn jeans, obviously. Personality is even bigger. Come in with a firm strong handshake, and big smile. A sense of humor is essential even with those tacky jokes bosses tend to make. Also sit straight dont slouch. DONT TRY TOO HARD!!! This will show that someone is "fake". Be casual in your answers. Common questions are: When was the last time you went out of your way to help another at your job? What are qualities that you think are most important in a person? What qualities do you possess that qualify you for this job? Etc...
Im sure you will do well...Good Luck!

Do your homework about the company and have questions ready. If you don't have any make a few up so you look more interested in the company.
Also, stop an take a breath! If you don't have an answer right away its okt o stop and think about it and answer correctly then shouting out an answer and looking like an idiot.
Good luck!
