I am interested in a property that has been vacant for over a year. The windows are boarded up and it is quite run down. I have checked the land parcel maps and tried to contact the name on the land title. I cannot find a phone number for her and the address that the taxes are sent to has no one picking up the mail so it got sent back. I also left a note on the door, it's still there. And I've spoken with neighbours who don't know anything. Does anyone have any suggestions, I wonder if maybe it is foreclosed now. Is there a way to find out? I live in Canada. PLEASE HELP!

My partner and I are in the service of helping people in our community (focusing on minorities). We offer assistance with immigration matters, interpreting/translating, document translation, income taxes, and general paperwork filing.

We offer the services..... we just need a name!
Any ideas will be appreciated! Something professional!

I tried to use the H&R Block tax estimator - which I've used every year for the past few years - and it's giving me a zero for the result even though what I made with self employment falls within the bracket for earned income credit.

My job is to issue grants to homeowners for insulation but nobody gives me the time of day. Yesterday I posted a letter through 20 homes in the same street saying that they didnt qualify(giving no reason) ..I got 17 phone calls today of people that were almost begging for the work to be done.............why is it that when you offer something to someone on a plate they dont want it but when you tell them they cant have it they'll scream blue murder to get it??

I've recently been promoted and manager appointed me one of the two team leaders. The team is 9 men, I am the only woman. One of the younger co-workers completely disrespects every task/directive I give him, including questions "who do you think you are? why should I do what you say?" I brought it to my manager's attention and he had a serious talk with this guy, now this guy doesn't talk to me at all. No "hello" or "good bye", goes to another team leader with questions about tasks I ask him to perform. I'd like to avoid confrontation, but at this point it's kind of weird that he's behaving this way. Any suggestions?

It's a long story - I am based in the US and worked for a UK company, I completed Personell forms and start date forms, conducted business and sold services for them. As it was within two months of starting there was no written contract and they are now claiming that they never employed me and don't owe me my wages (approx 2500 GBP)

Well I have a huge problem.. I just finnish taking a Mortgage Course on a weekend and now I have to go again for another weekend and I registered myself, for $100, for a Cram course. He doesnt want to give me Saturday, which is a day of a class, and monday, the day of the cram course, because supposevly those days are prohibited to take off. I have Sundays and tuesdays off and for one week im switching with a co-worker tuesday for friday. So really and truly im just requesting saturday and monday. And on top of everything, I have to move that weekend too. You would think that they would understand my situation, but they dont want to. I have 4 sick days to take but im just scared that if I take a sick day on one of the days I want to take off, that they'll fire me because they would already know what its not for a sickness. Please help me.. I really need some advise. I've already spoke to them and told them what I thought about their decision but they still wont budge..

Just curious. I'm driving a 2003 automatic. My MPG on the gauge is around 47 lifetime, but my actual computed mpg is exactly 44. Is this about right for you also? Not bad, but not up to specs on sticker. Do others have a 3+ mpg difference in what the car says you are getting and what you are actually getting? Thanks
