I have 3 store credit cards that I just paid totally off this week. The only other credit card I have is a Amazon Visa. Since the Visa has a lower intrest rate than the store CC I carry.......it is the only one plan on using in the future. Should I call and cancel out the 3 of the store CC I still carry around? Would this hurt my credit rating at all. My rating has slipped because of 2 late payments, but those were on the accounts I have currently paid off. The credit limits on them are: $120.....$650........$1,000.

The one I carry has a limit of $6500. I have heard that if you call a CC company and ask them to lower you CC limit, it also hurts your rating.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. ThX!

Our company switches from performance based to profit based salary increases whenever they please. I have not had an increase in the last two years because business has been slow. If I have no influence on turnover whatsoever and feel that the advertising and marketing has not been up to standard, which is handled by the Director, can I seek compensation for employee neglect as to work performance? There are no new business managers to generate new sales and we rely only on what comes in.

I have purposely avoided shopping at WalMart because i know they use Chinese companies that employ slave labor. Now I am considering shopping there because of financial considerations and the fact that what I am looking to buy seems to be most available there.

What should I do? Should i stick to my beliefs regardless of the difficulty is causes me. Especially since my personal action makes no difference. Or should I swallow my pride and buy what I need at WalMart and to hell with my beliefs?

My pay, as a service engineer, is 18k a year for 50 hours basic (10 hrs a day). There is no overtime rate at all during the week, but Saturdays is time and a half and Sundays is double time.
Also, I am on call 1 week in three, and work 1 weekend in three as per my contract. Often I drive 250 miles a day which has given me a slipped disc that I had treated, and am still receiving treatment from a chiropractor, out of my own pocket. What I want to know is, what would you do if you were me?

I've been approved for a loan, but the lender wants a copy of my 401-K statement. I've never had a lender ask for this before and I don't believe this is any of their business. They said they want to make sure I've created "stability".....they can see on my pay stub the amount of money that is taken our for this account. Has anyone come across this before? Can I deny them a copy? Help!!!

A friend asked me to put a marketing strategy together to help put bums on seat for an event. It seems it is now turning out alot more than expected. Also he doesn't have enoughtcapital at the moment and so cannot pay for my service until I begin to generate sales. I don't have the funds needed to run with this project at the moment and no one to turn to fro funds either. What do I do? If only I could start it off it does have the potential to be huge. Please I need some sound business advice here. It's also proving difficult to get others who will join me to carry out the telesales.
