"Ideal?" Sounds like you need any job to pay your bills...that too is a lesson you are learning in becoming an adult.

For a HS student, one that has weekend hours and hours and responsibilities that do not detract from your academics. Any job you get now is only for the money and experience; it is not likely to be your career. Keep your eyes focused on the future, where college education typically leads to the best lifetime employment.

I started in an ice-cream parlor, and it was great. It payed ok - not fantastic, but your cleanup is simple, you do not have that fried food smell stuck in your skin and you get to work with kids who are always happy because they get ice cream.

Because they are typically small businesses, you will eventually get a chance in a management position too, which is great in future applications.

Do something you like to do.

I started in a movie theater, a car wash, and I delivered furniture.
