Our company switches from performance based to profit based salary increases whenever they please. I have not had an increase in the last two years because business has been slow. If I have no influence on turnover whatsoever and feel that the advertising and marketing has not been up to standard, which is handled by the Director, can I seek compensation for employee neglect as to work performance? There are no new business managers to generate new sales and we rely only on what comes in.

I don't think you can seek compensation for employee neglect. Unless you want to file a class action lawsuit, but you could loose your job if you persue it. And me and my honey can completely understand your pain. We have been extremely stagnate in our salary increases also. Do to all sorts of different reasons.

Mine being I don't know how to negotiate and now my little company is going through a few growing pains (We lost a small devision) so it's not a good time for me to even ask for a raise.

So if you like where you work hang in there. If you don't start seeking new employment.

Probably not............when you first hired, you probably read their policies but just don't remember it.
