If you really want to be successful and comfortable in your new job i would suggest asking women who may know about the duties you would or should carry out in a position like yours.
Another alternative is to do some research on the internet. You would find good tips on being a good receptionist and you can specifically look for the field that you are in.
Hey! you got the job, that's great! Now prove that you are capable of doing it!
Good luck to you

You should do some research on the internet on how to do that job. Also observe others around you who do the same job. Look at what they do and how they do it. Also try your best and be the nicest employee you can be. Make sure you go to your boss and do your work the way they want you to do it. Follow all instructions you are given by your boss. Someone is in charge of you so make sure you know exactly what they expect you to do, and if you do not know something, ask them in a roundabout way, "well how would you do this?" so they can show you how they want things done. After awhile you will get the hang of it, and maybe before a year if your really good, you will get promoted to a higher position. That would be good! =)

Stay on the job and be willing to learn. I had a couple of experiences where I had prior experience in the job but I still needed to learn on the job because different companies have different practices. If anyone raised any doubts about your working experience as a receptionist, just say your previous company didn't share similar practices. And be extra nice to everyone around you in your first couple of months because you'll need their help. Good luck!

Keep the job, buy a spiral and write down all the training information that they give you. Refer to that spiral like a bible and that way in case you forget something they told you and you can refer to it later on. Receptionist jobs are pretty easy to pick up on, just manning a phone system and filing is pretty much all they do, so good luck and have fun at your new job!

Okay so I have experience as a make up artist and I did the same thing. I accidently bagged a job as a marketer for a multi million dollar company. I freaked out. I just showed up everyday willing to learn. If your willing to learn then it should work out. You never know you might be great.

You have a few options, take the job and hope they train very well, decline the offer and remain unemployed, or tell them the truth.
I suggest taking the job, and see how it goes. If after a few days you just don't get it, they will probably notice and talk with you about your performance.
Good luck
