Try putting your catalog with your name and phone number on it in the restrooms of large office buildings and/or hospitals. Maybe leave a book at your doctor, dentist, hairdresser. Everywhere you go take a book and leave it, good luck.

Hi, I don't know whether you have been successful but I have been doing partylite for 6mnths now and I have earnt over $20000 now.....I quite my job and concentrated full time on partylite. I think most people don't succeed because they a. already have a fulltime commitment somewhere else or b. don't have the marketing anf advertising skills or c. didn't have a very good support group from other consultants..... Try having free raffles in shopping centres and get them to fill in a little form and tick a box that says either im interested in holding a party etc Good Luck

I was also a PartyLite consultant once too. After my family and friends had their parties, and we were all tired of seeing each other...lol, I asked them to take a book with them to their workplace and pass it around. Just letting their coworkers look at the book and see if they were interested in having a party. I got about 2 bookings this way. Then there is usually someone at those parties that will book again. What you have to do is get away from your "circle". You could even mail out a few books or put some in your neighbors or people in your general neighborhood mailbox. Good Luck.

I admire the fact that you have the spirit to be in business for yourself, but it is unfortunate that you chose a company that involves party plan.
Parties are very difficult to book, it seems to be a thing of the past. What you have to consider here is that your largest market is the baby boomers, no matter what business you are in. If you can stay a step ahead of them, you cannot go wrong. Now the problem with party plan is that the boomers have been there done that and don't want to do it anymore. Most are empty-nesters now and they are looking for whatever is new and exciting. Most find PartyLite products very expensive as well.
I have been involved with home businesses most of my life so I have closely followed the trends. That is why I have chosen to go into the health and wellness industry. Boomers are looking for health and anti-aging now, and it is fast becoming a trillion dollar industry.
When I started this business, I found that they had removed the obstacles of MLM by making it easy to find leads and to market your product in a cutting edge style. I started earning an income on my second day and have never looked back. My business grows every day because of the product.
I too started with friends and family, only because they saw the results on me. They wanted to be involved because of the benefits. Each person in my group chooses to market the product their own way so you are constantly getting new ideas, and as a result, everyone is doing very well. There is a large support team to help those that are having trouble and help them earn a decent living.

RE:
I'm a new PartyLite Consultant. Does anyone know how the heck you're supposed to get new bookings?
I need to get new customers outside of my circle of friends and family. They're all partied out. I don't want to cold call people and I've tried handing out fliers, business cards, catalogs. Any new ideas would be appreciated.

There is no other way. To make sales and book parties, you must do the cold calls. You will get names at each party that you book, but until then, you will have make calls. I know it is hard, I sell Mary Kay. It helps to have a script, then you won't get tongue tied. Ask whoever signed you up for advise, I don't know the structure of Party Light, but in Mary Kay we have tons of training and several people to turn to. Good luck!

Poor you. I have a friend who got roped into the Partylite thing
She didn't get any new bookings after she went through all
our circle of friends and family. She spent a lot of money on
advertising. She handed out fliers, cards, catalogs. Went to
flea markets and set up booths, went to job fairs and rented booth space, etc. Then she had to spend more money on buying products herself, to keep her dealership. Then when she tried to
resell the products at a yard sale and on Ebay, she got sued by Partylite because it says in their rules that a consultant can not
sell any partlite product at a yard sale, rummage sale, online, auction, etc. even after they stop being a consultant.
In all she lost a lot of money and is no longer a Partylite consultant.
My advice...Get out of it before you lose a lot of money.
Home party sales may sound good...but it rarely works
if you don't have a lot of spare cash to invest.
If you are looking for a sales job from home, consider
selling AVON or MARY KAY.
My friend sells both of them, now, and has made enough money to buy a 2006 Lincoln Navigator with Cash. No payments.

I am in direct sales too. I have a website that people go to and can join my company from there. If Party lite isn't working out you should try a new business. There are so many out there you just have to find one right for you.
