I am a corporate entity. I hold a contest for which there is a nominal entrance fee. I want to use aggregate amount of entrance fees to award to a winner, based on some judging criteria. Do I have to pay taxes on the amount collected? Or does awarding the money to the contest winner count as a deductible expense?

I signed a lease I couldnt remember exactly what I signed, so I asked my landlord to send me a copy and when I got it I noticed there was white out on it to change the date. You can actually feel the white out on the copy. Does this void out the lease? The end of lease date is longer then I thought. I live in Massachusetts I dont know if the laws are different in other states.

I unfortunately managed my credit poorly while in college, and now, over 10 years later, I am slowly trying to repair my credit. In addition to student loans, I have two credit cards in collections that I owe over $2000 total on. I also have a phone bill that has been in collections for 4 years (over $400) that I have not paid. They recently sent me a good deal to match payment dollar for dollar, essentialling cutting my debt to them in half. However, I heard that utilities are not a detriment to your credit score - collections or no collections. In prioritizing what gets paid first and what will help repair my dismal credit score, should I put the phone bill on the back burner compared to keeping my student loan up to date and pay off those two credit cards?

At work, I was on the computer and my heart started to flutter ( like heart attack ) I ran down hallways yelling help and people tried to calm me down. I ran out out of the building and started running in the salt marsh out back and then jumped in the small river channell and swam across... I was so afraid and panicky, all I knew to do was to keep moving to try to calm down. Ambulance and then helicopter came and air-lifted me to the hospitol...

I received a phonecall from SmartStep as a courtesy for being a longtime customer of my bank. I thought I said I didn't want their "coverage" but apparently the woman entered "yes" in the system. I need to find contact information for them so that I can cancel the plan. Please help.

I am thinking about going to school to become an RN. I am looking more into schools where I can get tuition reinbursement. Do you know if once you sign the contract that you will work for them, that they are allowed to pay anything they want? Or are you supposed to get paid nicely? I don't expect the maximum when I start, but I don't want to work for $10/hour. Thanks.

Me and my fiance used to be self employed, but running our own business was becoming too stressful, and i was looking for a future career change. We decided to sell off 2/3 of the company to 2 other gentlemen, and i would no longer be owner. Well it just seems that even though i dont own the company, these people talk down to me, which i dont appreciate. Right now i am getting paid the same as an average employee, when i do 3x the workload! I want to do my own thing, be my own person. I feel trapped. My fiance loves working with me in the office, and that is my weakness. I want to leave this place so bad, but he begs me to stay. Is that selfish of him? If i was to schedule a meeting with my fiance and the other 2 men, what should i say to them? Ask for a pay raise? Complain about my dislikes? I just dont know. HELP!!
