Only through group insurance do pre-existing conditions not count. All others do, and depends on who you provider is.

Depends on the insuring company.. I just read a life policy application and dying of a condition within 12 months of the application can subject the policy to payout restrictions..

Medical is one where you need to read the fine print. Some are 12 months, pregnancy can be considered a pre-existing condition as well, if the person starting a policy is pregnant when the policy goes into effect.

Yes, you can buy insurance, and have a waiting period before pre-existing conditions are covered. The waiting period is usually between 18 months and five years, depending on the state and company.

It depends on the condition and the plan... Some plans reserve the right to deny any claims related to a "pre-exisiting" condition for up to a year, some it's 90 days, some it's six months... Each plan has different rules governing these things.

It definitely depends on the condition, policy and insurer. You can always try.

Depends on policy. Not a straightforward answer for this.
