That seems like a pretty fair amount compared to what IT guys make at the University I work for. At most in your type of work and with a slight change in the set up of your position, our IT guys get $40,000 per year (which is ~$19.25/hr), but the work and responsibility is a little different. Of course, there are other IT positions that make significantly more, but with a different role and responsibility.
