Yahoo Finance has a symbol lookup, but as far as I can tell it never ever finds the symbol when you enter the name of a mutual fund. What's a better site for these lookups?

My grandmother was recently told that she could receive her widowed ex-husband's Teamsters pension. They were not married when he died, but she was the last person married to him, and was married to him for 13 years, longer than his other wives.

My grandmother has a friend who is currently in a similiar situation, who is collecting her deceased ex-husband's pension. My grandmother is also currently collect her ex-husband's S.S. benefits, since she was married to him longest & the last.

Does anybody know where I cn get information online about this? Supposedly, a widow collects half of the pension. Where would I go to check into this, and how does she start receiving it?

Im incorporated in VT (LLC) and have moved to Florida. Now do I have to pay for tax on business earnings in FL or VT ? Or can I avoid paying state tax (just pay IRS) since FL has not tax..

My parents have a 350 acre ranch. They have only had it for 2 years and aren't living there full time. My dad currently leases 23 head of cattle. I have thought about starting to help him work the land and with the cows. However I need to do something else to have income untill my dad starts doing this seriously. I have a business degree and am trying to figure out how that might help me find something. I want to try to find something ag/ranching related so I can start learning the basics.

I have an Associate's Degree in Business Administration, but I have no experience of any kind that is similar to this field. I have worked as a cook and a security officer. I have been looking for a job since May (when I graduated) and I am now working on my Bachelor Degree in Business Administration: Management. Either no one gives me the time of day or they say I have no experience. I know my resume is good to go because my career advisor helped me. It is just that I have no experience. I saved $30,000 this year after taxes. I paid $10,000 in taxes. I need to get rid of the $30,000 in my bank account before Dec 31st so I can get most of the $10,000 back when I get my refund.

What is the safest/quickest way I can write-off the $30,000? I need to be able to get this money back next year and use it for a down payment on a house.
