definitely. maran has infact also used his influence and ministry to get jobs done in the past like allocating spectum and satellite rights to his co.s thereby abusing his powers and gving a fillip to his the price of sun tv. right now its hovering in the 1250 region, not possile without him at the helm

It could arise at various points but here we are not measuring using the same scale, where SUN TV is a regional player with a audiance of Tamil's worldwide but Doordarshan is a national broadcaster with a much wider viewership base.
Secondly he can't harm Doordarshan's prospects in TN too much too as there are brilliant set of administrators in Prashar Bharathi in place

There is no conflict of interest as far as Maran is concerned. It suits him. He deliberately picked that ministry since the Sun TV wanted their guy in the helm of things, so that they can have smooth going. They have no qualms about it.
