I'm thinking of getting a tattoo on the back of my shoulder, the problem is, i heard your not supposed to touch it or anything like that. and i sleep on my back, and move a lot in my sleep.... so would this affect the tattoo and how?
anyone have a tattoo on the back of your shoulder? and how did you deal with it?

I want to get my first tattoo covered up, i kinda regret getting so i was wondering if i should go to the same tattoo artist that did it. Would the tattoo artist be insulted? Should i go to another parlor?

I got my first tattoo exactly two nights ago. Tonight, I accidentally hit my tattoo with my exfoliating thingiemajig in the shower. No, I did not exfoliate my tattoo.... I was rubbing another area and accidentally lightly bumped into the tattoo. Basically, some parts of my tattoo are VERY raised especially certain colored areas. While researching on the internet...I think this is water exudate??? Well, one raised area broke during my accident. When I got out of the shower and patted it dry, I saw that it leaked out some liquid...with color to be exact. My concern is, considering my tattoo is so new, do you think I will lose color in this area once it completely heals??? Any opinion will be greatly appreciated!

I have been planning on getting a tattoo on my lower back for some time now. Everyone I tell this to wants me to change it saying its nothing but a tramp stamp.

I want to get a tattoo of a shamrock on my achilles tendon, is that a possible location to get that done? Or should I rethink getting it done there? I know it will hurt, I'm ok with that. I just wanna know if its even possible to get one done there.

I've had mine at a 0 for a little over a month now. I'm wanting to go to a 00, is it safe to do it now or should I wait longer ? And I've been told that using lube makes it a lot easier to work with when gettings the tapers through. Is this true ?

I designed a tat for a friend, who after a while decided she really wanted a dragon instead.

It's based on a popular toon character - but with attitude (that's all I'll say about it here)! And it's very girly, which rules out having it inked on me.

It'd probably look best on ankle or shoulder.

All it'll cost is an emailed photo of the finished article. Any girls out there interested?

end results like? I have obviously heard about laser removal of a tattoo, but I don't know how well it actually works. Mine is black in color and is around one of my fingers, about the width of a thick ring...and I HATE it so bad and want it gone. How will I know if the place I pick to do it is a reputable one or not? I just would like to hear of people's personal experience with this so I kind of know what to expect. Thanks

I know we joke around alot here in tattoos but the question begs to be asked. Can you take body modification too far and where is that line for you? For some anything more that a single tattoo is too far .......for others a back piece or sleeves are over the top. And what about piercings...is there a limit? If tattooing is acceptable what about scarification ......branding?
And then of course you have those who take it even further....100% coverage of the body in ink.....too much? Surgical changes to the body including tongue splitting....ears pointed....foreign objects implanted under the skin? If these are fine what about self amputation, castration or even trephination? All of these things are practiced on an individual or cultural basis all over the world. Should the individual have complete control of his body or should lines be drawn?
