I do. Its a dragonfly...about 4 inches long and about 5 across. It actually didnt hurt bad at all and only took about 15 mins. As long as u keep the bandage on for a couple of nights it should be cool. I also sleep on my back alot and asked if it would cause any trouble. I was told the same thing. If it is bigger than mine or u dont take pain well when and if u do roll to ur back at night u will feel it and remember to roll the other way. GOOD LUCK!!!

I recently got a tattoo on the back of my shoulder, and I am also a back sleeper. What I did was sleep on my side as much as I could, especially the first couple days because the area was a little more sensitive. However, on the second night, I did roll over and woke up on my back. Some ink had leaked onto a tshirt I was wearing, but I didn't have any problems. I think it is more important that you don't rub the scab off during the healing period. Moisturizing before going to bed would be a good idea.

You should have no problem sleeping on your back when you get your tattoo. To be safe make sure you have clean sheets on your bed the day you get it done. The day after I got my tattoo on my arm, I woke up and there was a perfect mirror image on the sheet. Just be sure to moisturize the tattoo well before going to bed. It never got infected and I did not have a problem with the scab being pulled off either. And yes the ink did wash out of the sheets.

i have a tattoo on the back of my shoulder and will be getting some work done on my other shoulder in two weeks. the first night you get it done you should try to not sleep on your shoulder. i try to sleep on my stomach so my shirt won't stick to the tattoo and because it is so sore. (but if you're just getting a couple of words, it may not be that sore) i actually can't sleep on my back for about three days, but that probably has to do with the fact that i'll have had three hours of work done. just do what is comfortable to you.

You're gonna have to sleep on your belly or on the opposite side from which you want to get your tattoo because you might peel off the scab that comes out after the tattoo and the paint will come out. It happened to me even though it didn't happen while sleeping since I sleep on my belly. It happened when I wore these weird jeans there. Oh and mine is on my lower back so it's a big difference.

I've got my upper back basically completely filled in.. in pieces admittedly.. I'd advise practicing sleeping on your other side for a few weeks before your appointment.. you need to limit the amount of pressure and rubbing on the tattoo.. specially the first few days.. somethings can't be helped.. but you need to do what you can..
Got both shoulderblades and down my spine covered. breathe, eat well for several days before, and take care of yourself and it after.. also realize that this probably isn't going to be your last.. try and think of what else you want back there before deciding

although u are going to experience some tenderness if u sleep on the area where the tattoo is u should be fine... however please take great care by covering it with a gauze bandage so it won't get infected ( possible because some detergents are irritants and can break out the skin and u don't want any of the healing lotion or ointment to get on your sheets).

tat on the back of the shoulder. if you were askin if ou should get one period, then it depends on what it is. what your into etc. but a question as to not mess it up, i would say, the main reason as to this is so you dont irritate it. you just had a needle pulsed into your skin millions of times injecting ink. it needs to heal. your skin needs to grow back. but mainly, if your worried about that, then when you go into the tat parlor, do this before anything, just so you know if you should or not, but ask the tattoo artist if this would be alright for you, if you should do something else. do some research.

I got one on my shoulder and picked the side I didn't sleep on as much.
Mine turned out beautifully, Even though I slept on it a few times. I know I was more aware of it being there and was worried at first, but no harm done, lotion it up like your suppose to and you should be just fine.

next one on my ankle

When they say don't touch it,
they mean don't scratch it.
Just laying on it won't do anything.
No worries..........It will be fine.
Just keep it clean like they say.
It will be covered, a couple days.
You will be given a written page
of instructions, on how to care for it.
If you have any questions , the artist
that does the work, is the one to talk with.
