I want to get a tattoo of a shamrock on my achilles tendon, is that a possible location to get that done? Or should I rethink getting it done there? I know it will hurt, I'm ok with that. I just wanna know if its even possible to get one done there.

Well, yes it is possible but you will have to decide about the size. To fit over the tendon, if your ankle is tiny and it is pronounced, it will either be distorted from bending around it or you will have to make it very small which oftentimes only appears as a blob.

My husband has been a tattoo artist for 15 yrs. I have a vine that wraps around my ankle twice and goes all the way down my foot. It's been there for almost 10 yrs and yes, it goes across the tendon. Yep, it hurts there but what you are wanting is small, so it will be over soon.

yes you can get it done there, although I have heard that some tattooists do not like tattooing in certain areas, that being one of them. Be careful though with small tattoos, the ink tends to bleed and after a few years and it ends up just looking like one mess of a tattoo.

its possible but some artists wont do ink there because the ink will not take very well there. i wanted to get a small tattoo in about the same area but more on the side and my artist said he couldnt do it because Id be coming in every month for a touch up. you might have to rethink the location of your tat. yeah its possible....i have a vine that goes all the way around my ankle and the achilles tendon hurt the most....so be prepared:)

Do what sounds good to you. I will tell you its slightly painful in that area, mine took a while and it was not very pleasant but very much so worth it.

yep. i have a friend with cherries on both of hers. i bet it will be painful tho. i have thought of getting mine done but i don't know what i'd get.
