I'd consider a tattoo completely healed when any scabs have dropped off, and the fresh skin underneath has settled down and is no longer flaky or shiny or otherwise not quite like skin usually is. Generally, this would be about a month after having it done. But the scabs-dropped-off part is the bulk of the healing, and only takes a week or two.

Hope this helps!

After taking off the guaze, you should use the topical cream given to u by u'r artist twice a day in order to keep it moisturized. Be careful not to rub it or pick at it. Then in about 4 days or so, the tat should have 'scabbed' over by now and you'll be good go! Good luck

a tat is healed within 2-4 weeks depending on the person. my tat never went through any redness or scabbing or itching or any of that stuff, its just when you can touch it and it feels like any other part of you and there is no pain or anything in that area.

When I can rub the lotion in without any pain or soreness at all I consider it healed.....I would still put a good lotion or mositurizer on it a couple of times a day forever.
