I've had mine at a 0 for a little over a month now. I'm wanting to go to a 00, is it safe to do it now or should I wait longer ? And I've been told that using lube makes it a lot easier to work with when gettings the tapers through. Is this true ?

I would wait at least another 4-6 weeks to make sure your ears have healed up completely.

Lube does help a lot and there should always be some sort of lubrication used so you reduce the risk of tearing your fistula and causing a blow out. This isn't sex, so I don't suggest using KY jelly, thought it wouldn't cause harm, its just too slippery and oily. Using an antibiotic ointment works just fine

i think its ok to go to 00 from a 0 after only having it for a month, of course though the longer you wait it out in 0 first the less discomfort you will have. And lube does work, but we carefull what type you use, put a little on the inside of your elbow, a while before you try it out on your ear, so you know if you might have an allergic reaction. . . .. I think it would be fine to go ahead and do it. I have used oils and lubes for my plugs, but i prefer baby oil, but thats not for everyone. . ... just find something like that, cuz it will really help :)

you can stretch them, if they no-longer hurt from last time. Assuming you never tore them or anything. And YES use some lube, water based KY is good, or some kind of antibiotic goop.
0 to 00 is a pretty big jump, you may want to wait till your ears are really ready, or wear weights in them to get them going. Or get a round taper and work it in a little every day.
Good luck!

about a month is a good waiting period, but YOU know your body best; make sure that your ears feel healed.

also, once you get to 00 and bigger, you should wait AT LEAST 6 weeks or more between stretchings to ensure full healing. if you get in too much of a rush; you may end up getting a blow-out which is painful, and extremely ugly and will set you back.

yes; a water-based lubricant will work to help ease the taper in; however, you can also just wet it with water.

good luck!

your very own factor of no return could be lots smaller than 0g. you'll be one among those persons whose piercings under no circumstances decrease, so which you're already at your factor of no return. there is not any assure. All issues being equivalent, smaller holes and holes that are stretched much less will decrease better than better holes or holes that have been stretched many circumstances. yet back, each and each individual is definitely unique, and numerous components go into even in the experience that your piercings decrease or no longer. So jointly as for you 0g would be extra possibly to decrease than 00g, your possibilities of decrease at 0g may be 5%, and at 00g 4.seventy 5%, so do no longer think of of anybody length as a paranormal "your ears would be generic back" scuffling with factor. additionally a month between sizes previous 12g isn't adequate time, and speedy stretching continually lowers your probability of shrinkage.

Wait 6 weeks in between smaller sizes and at least 8 weeks when you get larger than 4ga. Lube makes a world of difference. I prefer KY over surgi-lube, I find the surgi-lube dries out quickly and leaves a bit of nasty residue. Just remember to go slow, and be patient

You should let your ears heal all the before stretching. As to stretching from 0 to 00 that fast, one setting, I say "ouch"! I've stretched my nose a gauge, but, I know what I can handle one setting. (Noses are sensitive. At least mine is.) Talk with your piercer and go from there.

Since this is a bigger gauge, I would suggest waiting for at least 3 months for them to heal, and to apply emu oil to them (it helps the elasticity of the skin). If you don't go to your piercer to do the taper, I would suggest using Surgi-lube for lubrication, NEVER DO A DRY STRETCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!
