It hurts. Much worse than any other cartiledge piercing, but it's over quick, so it's not too bad really, and so worth it, 'cause I love mine

the worst part I experienced was the sound. a crunch .. the healing was a little annoying.. Kept catching the ring on my hairbrush.. . I had my conch piercing pierced at 16 gauge. I've since stretched it to 6 gauge.. Stretching hurts. Though everyone's experience may vary

Its piercing cartilage... just a lot lot thicker. You will def hear the crunch. From all my piercings it was a medium on the pain level. Worse than my tounge, not as bad as my anti-traguses. My conches are my total favorite though and I always get the most compliments on them!

A conch piercing is a cartilage piercing, it is just that the cartilage is thinker there. FYI, if you get a big gauge there, there is a chance it will never heal together, resulting in a hole clear through your ear. I love my conch piercing, though.

It injury extraordinarily undesirable, however the worst area to me grew to become into the barbell dealing with after the preliminary piercing with the needle. The threading on the tip of the post dealing with that new clean meat hurts like hell. It heals/stops hurting interior like 5 weeks nevertheless. whether it heals up speedy in case you even go away it without something in for a handful of hours.

Not really...mine were just quick, sharp pinches when I got them done. The only time they really hurt was afterwards for a while. So I'd say they're a little worse than a regular cartilage piercing (which was painless for me), but not that bad.

Mine weren't painful. I have outer conches so it's probably not the same as an inner conch.
