I've had my new tat for about a wk and 2 days now. i was just wondering is it ok to go get my hair permed while my tattoo is still healing. Its pretty much done peeling right now but its itchin like crazy on the back of my neck. Any advice?

What would a tattoo covering most of the outside half of a calf cost.

Details:

The tattoo would be a pinup style, with color.

It isn't too complicated of a design, but it isn't simple either.

The artist says he thinks it would be done in one session.

The tattoo measurement would be around 12 inches tall and around 3 or 4 inches wide.

I'm on this board quite often and i'm just curious....

1)If you don't like tattoos, good for you, but why the need to insult others that do have tattoos - not appreciating those that are different from yourself?
2)Statements that tattoos are "low class" - do you feel that it's classy to make some of the comments that you've made to people with tattoos?
3)What about tattoos are "trashy" and where did you develop this definition?
4)Last random question: for those that are tattooed....did you get your tattoo just "to get a tattoo" or does your tattoo have significant meaning to you? If you got it simply because "you wanted a tattoo"...what made you want the tattoo? Tattooing seen as art, paying tribute to something, a rebellious moment, just because??

The nerd in me is just curious about all of these factors...

i've heard that you can have an allergic reaction to certain brands of red and green ink because of certain metals found in the ink. does anyone know what metals those are that are found in the green? and what brand it is, or if there is another brand you could use.

I have a few tats and am so addicted to getting more. I recently converted to a babtist church and my grandmother says it is a sin to have tattoos. She says that god will forgive what I have done before I was saved, but I am pretty literate in the bible and not so sure that tattooing is a sin. What should I do?

Last Thursday (6 days ago) I got my 6th tattoo (I'm working on a sleeve), no big deal right?

Well Monday I wake up to yellowish greenish scabs forming... out of all my tattoos it was the most painful, not because of the spot on my body but because it's a realism sketch and he was using a gun with 11 needles that just tore my arm up and I know it the moment I left it probably it was going to be sore for a while! It is my first black tattoo all my other tattoos up to this point have been in full color and they always scabbed the same color as the ink, if they even scabbed at all (some didn't).

I got this tattoo from the same artist as my other tattoos and it only seems to be scabbing it the darkest parts of the black... it is getting better but I'm worried how it is going to turn out after it is done healing.

Normal? Or should I worry?

I have this sterling silver kokopelli ring that I wear all the time....I noticed my finger felt itchy this morning ....so when I pulled off the ring my finger was broken out under the band....and last month I had to get rid of my Seiko watch because my wrist was breaking out where the back of the watch rubbed.....I've heard of nickel allergies but can a person develope allergies to other metals?....(I figured all you piercers will have an answer for this one)

I got a tattoo on Monday afternoon, and I'm wondering what i should do about putting cream on it etc. I bought some E-45 before. So far i have just been washing it once a day in the sink with warm soapy water, just dabbing it if you know what i mean.

any help will be much appreciated

I have finally decided that I can stand to get a tattoo. I have worked hard and graduate college in August and would like to celebrate with a small tattoo. I am not into color and do not like a heavey black fill either. So i am trying to find a halfdollar size or smaller, black outlined tattoo. Can't seem to find anything online without paying for each picture. Any help here? I also would like to place it somewhere either on the ankle or slightly above. I have a very light pain issue but handled all my shots for school well. ( i had all 8 in one sitting with no needle issues.) I am thin and so friends say it will hurt to put it anywhere other than on my upper arm or thigh, uh no...if I am going to endure it then everyone will see without me having to drop my pants, any suggestions to all this headache?
