there are no definite guidelines as far as i am aware of but i know that i am always sore after getting tattooed. my muscles ache for about three or four days, usually because i get worked on for 2-3 hours at a time. i would be hesitant to get on any workout machines because of the bacteria that could potentially infect your open wound. i always wait until i am completely healed but as long as you showered right after you finished working out you could be fine. just don't push yourself and damage your tattoo.

I got a tattoo on my left upper back near the shoulder a couple years back and went to work right after words. I worked for a pizza hut then, as a cook, and my job required some heavy lifting. I did not notice any discomfort.

No its not recommended, you should wait until its completely healed. Sweating is the same if you would keep it under the shower water. It will cause the scabs to be very soft and will make some of the ink run and cause you to have to get it touched up sooner then you would normally have too.

I suggest just walking to get some exercise while your waiting for it to heal up.

I don't see why not. Just make sure it doesn't get rubbed or hit by anything. You might cover it with a bandage to protect it until you get done.

No it is NOT!!! you will pull the skin and stretch it out!! Causing your scabes to come off, causing it to bleed , causing your ink to bleed out
