What initially drew you to Yahoo answers? Or, did you come here specifically for this category? I started in politics over something that came up in a search. I wasted way too much time and energy there though. (Glad I found you guys, by the way)

HAHA, yeah, I remember the cat tat question!

I did a search on something and the link went to the question. I read the answers with disbelief! Then I read the a lot more "resolved" questions that pretty much pissed me off because much of the info was WRONG. Especially on the "Best Answer" so I kind have been trying to get some good info out there about the industry I love that is so incredibly diverse!!

I clicked on it out of curiousity one day. Then I just started to answer questions from the main page. I started to utilize it alot though prior to getting my first tattoo because I had tons of questions and concerns and figured that there would be some artists and/or people with alot of tattoos that could help me. I just liked the area. I still surf the fashion area periodically because I worked in the fashion industry prior to having my daughter and it's interesting....mainly spend most of my time in the tattoo area though. Because my approach to my tattoo was learning everything I could about it (process, safety, art, artists, equipment, etc.)...I like to share what I learned with people that had the same questions I did before I got my tattoo.

I found it in a roundabout way.....by following my daughter. She came home for the weekend right after I had my tattoo done...and I saw her looking at tattoos on rate my ink so I put my tattoo up there too. A month or so later she came home again for the weekend. So in the middle of the night....I couldn't sleep and got up to get something to drink and found both my daughters laughing at something on the internet....they were answering questions on yahoo answers. So here I am.....because Somebody was here first......

I am glad you now waste your time here, Blair.

My friend Count Stabula told me that he was addicted to Yahoo Answers, so I decided to share in his addiction.

Then I found the tattoo category (naturally) and made myself at home among my fellow tattooed freaks!! :)

Research. I'm normally a bit of a lurker; I'm way too familiar with the phenomenon you found in politics, Blair. I hung out here & other areas for quite some time before I got involved.

I tend not to contribute in other areas. People's courage cranks up when you're not in their face. Get them f2f & suddenly they're all nicey-nice. Cowards.

However, I've always enjoyed lecturing/helping out, even when it isn't a pack of undergrads desperately trying to pass compiler design. :) The folks here are pretty cool; figured I'd jump in.

And now, you'll never get me to shut up.

I saw it advertised when it was first getting started. One day I was just bored and decided to check it out. I have been pretty much just answering question now and then since. I even told my husband about it and now he is totally engrossed in the idea of answering questions. He likes to help people out with all of thier mechanical questions. I just like to help people out with the relationship ones. I think that people sometimes just need an outside opinion to realize that they are not crazy and aren't imagining things.

I was initially drawn by the asking of stupid/ fake questions, and getting equally ridiculous answers from people who thought I was serious. Once I asked what should I tattoo on my cat, since I was just received my tattoo machine in the mail and my friends wouldn't let me practice on them. People told me not to do it, and that I could get arrested for creulty to animals lol.

I get on here every once in a while. Mainle because of the person that asked this question. He is very hot, and really helpful. Sometimes a little mean but only when others are.
