Tattoos - November 2006

Which one would you get first...a tattoo or a belly ring? Note: It's something that you have to hide from your parent(s) and you want to make a very wise choice. If you get the tattoo, where would you get it. Please have some reasoning too.

I am thinking about getting a tattoo of Tibetan characters going around my ankle.
It would be around 1/2 an inch wide and 8 inches long, one color.

Do you have any idea what kind of price range I would be looking at?
Would it be more expensive to have it done in a color other than black?

i doubt i'm exaggerating to say that one in four young girls have a tattoo there, do they do it to catch your attention when they bend over or is it just to be like all the other girls?

ointment on it and bandaging it but it sticks to the bandage what can I do I don't want it to get infected and right no I rool my pants leg up so my pants leg won't rub against it any suggestions ?

I was just curious as to whether or not it was possible to change the color of a dark tattoo without having to get it removed first. I'm almost sure it's impossible but just wanted to hear other's opinions.

Wanna get a tattoo on each of my inner wrists. Something like "Strength" and "Honor" or "Discipline" and "Determination" Something in line with those type of values. Also what kind of font to get 'em in? Never gotten a tatoo with text.

I've decided I want to get two tattoos. One of a yellow hibiscus on my foot (for my own personal liking) and one of two praying hands on the back of my hip, for my grandfather. My mom is taking me to get one soon, and I'm not sure which one to get first. It'll be my first tattoo. The hands would obviously be smaller than the foot, but I really like my hibiscus design. Help?

i got my one and only tattoo 4 years ago it is not as smooth as every one elses i have touched it is raised and kinda bumpy it is on my lower back.. does any one know why my tattoo is like this or if there is any thing i can to it does not hurt but just feels funny

I got this tattoo on Thursday. The day I got it I put A&D ointment on it after taking the bandage off. Some of the ink leaked out that night so I stopped putting the A&D on it and started with the Lubriderm the day after. Alot of the shading has seeped out and it is starting to peel, and more of the ink is flaking off with it. It still looks really good, but I want it to stay bold as it is black with the gray shading. How can I save it from peeling so fast and loosing the dark black and leaving me with a dull tattoo. The artist also applied white ink as an undertone to the outline above the shading....that has completely gone, which he said it could be a possibility. I have one tattoo that I got 5 years ago, it's in the middle of my lower back, this one is across my shoulders. I don't remember loosing any color or ink with the first one.... Any suggestions?

A few months ago I received my first tattoo after doing some research of tattoo artists. I selected one and he seemed to do an awesome job on my tattoo, but I have a few concerns. It's not perfect. For example, some circles are not PERFECT, but still decent. Thus, a person simply looking at the tattoo would not notice the imperfections, but someone who anaylzed it would. Is this a major fault of the artist? Or, is this just what happens with custom tattoo artistry?

I have three tattoos and I really don't like any of them. I was excited when they would show me what they would look like (they are on my back) But after I looked at the finished tat I was not happy. I was wondering if any of you felt this way too.

My best friend and I are thinking of possibly getting similar Chinese-symbol tattoos. It would probably be inner-lower hip, if that makes sense, and fairly small (but not tiny, maybe an inch and a half or two) . We had a few things in mind as to what they should say...but nothing for sure. Any thoughts? What do you think?

It's what they do in africa, they dip the needle in the breastmilk and put it where the tattoo is to remove it. Anyone have ever tried that?
Do you think a tattoo artist would do it for me with the machine? I do have breastmilk because I'm still breastfeeding my toddler...

i have a general idea what i want, i want a tat on my lower back not too big and i was just wondering my friend got one last month and said something about them beeing able to numb the area so u dont feel the pain...i was wondering if that can happen. also how painful is it really coz i have heard many stories. thank you , luv trixi xoxo
