A few months ago I received my first tattoo after doing some research of tattoo artists. I selected one and he seemed to do an awesome job on my tattoo, but I have a few concerns. It's not perfect. For example, some circles are not PERFECT, but still decent. Thus, a person simply looking at the tattoo would not notice the imperfections, but someone who anaylzed it would. Is this a major fault of the artist? Or, is this just what happens with custom tattoo artistry?

Is your skin a little wrinkled? Are you a young man? A tatoo can be perfect. If it changes after a while it's not the artists fault. But if initially it doesn't look too good... then that person needs some drawing classes or something. I have one, though I regret it, but it is actually pretty perfectly done.

If you have skin that's prone to inflammation like I do, your skin could be breaking the tattoo down. I have 2 tattoos & over the years allot of the detail has disappeared on both of them & I started to notice a few months after I got them. Some of the details just looked off to me. I had one reworked - but to no avail.
I'm always getting hives & heat rashes & that's the problem . The lasers & acids used in tattoo removal all inflame & damage your skin & as your skin heals it breaks down some of the tattoo ink - you repeat the process enough & 'poof' your tattoo is gone. If you have acne, or are prone to hives or rashes (very dry skin gets inflamed too) then all that inflammation could destroy your work over time. Even a really mild sunburn could have the same effect, so if you're in the sun allot that could be a huge factor. Always put sunscreen on your tat even if you don't use it any place else. In direct sunlight your clothing only gives you a protection level of 15 or so per layer (less for thin fabric). By the way - black & red inks are the colors most easily removed by inflammation. Good luck. Putting time into getting inked & not having it turn out the way you wanted really sucks.

No circle on any tattoo will be perfect. It's extremely difficult to tattoo a perfect circle on something that breathes and moves. It is no fault of the artist. If it's minor imperfection and it really can't be seen(or noticed) by the casual observer, then I wouldn't worry about it. If it bothers you, you might consider a different shape on your body. If it's major imperfection such as, skipped lines, color isn't consistent or a genuine mistake, then it would be the artist's fault. It would then be up to you to go back to the artist and let him know your concerns. If he is a reputable artist, any touch-ups would be offered for free.

Congrats at the selection of having tattoos! It's a colossal step and also you wish anyone legit and sincere. Looking again at his prior paintings you wish to make certain that the strains are first-class or even (you do not wish the equal line going from very thick to very skinny except it is intended to, you additionally do not wish seen dots wherein he stopped and began once more), the colours must be colourful and transparent, the shading must very delicate (which means it must pass from darkish to gentle very frivolously. there should not be any seen strains in well shading) assess the element of faces and arms. The extra element you'll see, the bigger a tattoo artist he's. Instead of scrutinizing very carefully, pull again a little bit and seem to peer if the whole thing is based how it is intended to and is proportionate. Proportion is the sort of enormous element whilst tattooing and it is a very complicated element to get right. It quite comes right down to the tattoos you are watching at. Since the whole thing is individual and targeted to the individual being tattooed it might not be the way you could wish it however anyone paid for it. Also maintain in brain, a few artists are bigger at colour or jap artwork or ect. so make certain he is relaxed with what you wish. If you realize plenty of bubbly cartoony paintings and now not a lot else; it probably a signal that he are not able to do extra designated, problematic paintings. Bottom line is that for those who discover your self asking "Is that intended to be like that?" or "Maybe he intended for it to seem that approach..." you must both wait till you are satisfied that he is well or discover anyone else. Don't speak your self into an artist due to the fact that you are worried to get a tattoo. Take it slow and constantly don't forget that you simply get what you pay for. Never attempt to haggle, it is insulting. He's taking plenty of effort and time to make your everlasting artwork piece excellent for you so be ready to compensate them for this reason.
