I'm going to a formal event in a couple of weeks and I'll be wearing a black strapless dress with gold sequining on the bust. I would like to have my hair down, but I'm not quite sure it would look right with the dress. I'm quite open to the idea of putting my hair up. I have medium length hair about 3-4 inches past my shoulders.

so basically ii have really long really straight hair and curls just don`t stay. i`ve tried hair spray and gel and tons of other things and now ii just feel like i`m damaging my hair. so does anybody know how to get my hair curled ?? and no ii don`t want it to be permanent. so perms are out of the question. mm. my sister got her hair done and the lady at the salon used a straightener and the curls stayed all night. [her hair is long&straight too.] soo anyone know how to get that to work ??

I have a prom coming up in about 3 weeks, and I don't want to dye my hair (they banned us from doing it here, so lame), I want just highlight certain areas. How can I do this without dying my whole head. My hair is dark-dark brown, so what color would anyone recommend?

I need some serious help with split ends. I recently moved from the desert to the plains and my naturally curly hair has developed split ends that have split ends. I literally have hairs with four ends. I haven't changed anything about my daily hair routine. Should I? Or should I know something about windy- one-minute and hot-the-next weather? I went for a trim and about a week after she trimmed a good 3-4 inches off my whole head, my new ends split. Apparently, the entire shaft of my hairs are weak. Shaving my head or getting a super short cut is not really an option for a big-headed curl like me. I need advice.

It is my observation that though they seem to enjoy the feel of a freshly shaved head,
but when you tell them that you are planning to get your head shaved they always dont support the idea.
why is it so?

Well, that's a vague question, but it's just that my hair. I hate it... and lately I've been trying to find a way to fix it. I tried using many hair products before and it never works. My hair always limps back down or the products don't do much to help. Is there anything wrong with my hair? What can I do? By the way, I am a guy. =P

I bleached my hair and it is starting to fall out little by little.

It doesnt randomly fall out just by touching it, you would need to touch it and pull VERY gently, and it will come off in big patches.

Any ideas what I can do to fix this?

I just got a perm last week and now I wish I didnt. I'm guessing at least 3 months, so my hair dont get too damaged. I see alot of posts online, that you shouldnt chemically straighten, but Ive done it once before from a box i bought and a friend did it for me at home by combing through it for time it says to leave it in. It didnt do anymore damage to my hair then a perm does. Has anyone wanted to straighten out a perm they got, and how long did you wait? What were your results?

i want to dye my hair black and red. i've done it before in streaks, but i want to try something different this time. i was thinking maybe black on the top and bright red on the bottom with layers. or maybe red tips. hm.. im running out of ideas. help me. i deffinately wanna use red, black isnt too necessary because my hair's already dark brown.
