Short but sideburns were beginning to cume unto style.

That was a time of big changes, both in hair and fashion. In four years, kids went from being very 'clean cut' to 'hippies'......

In '65, the boys wore their hair short and the girls had puffy hairdos..... 'helmet heads'. :o) On dressy occasions, they'd have their hair done 'up' with many loops on top of their head. And kids dressed UP for dances, etc.

In '67, fashion and hair changed dramatically. The boys started growing their hair long, much to the disappointment of their parents. But the Beatles were an influence.......

There was also the 'hippy' influence and '67 was the 'summer of love'. Girls also started to wear their hair longer and straighter and the clothing was bright, baggy, weird and 'far out'.
