Dying your hair is cool, but a style like you're thinking of would take a LOT of upkeep (which can get expensive and is HARD on your hair). Go with basic gothic black hair and use clothes, jewelry, hair accesories or makeup to give yourself a unique look.

it WAS cool when people first started doing it. Now you see it everywhere. If you want something actually punkish and not just outdated poser then i'd go for either a hot pink with some Black and Bleach in the bangs, Or maybe like a dark burgundy color (because you want it to be dark) just try to be more original about it.
