I am writing this story. It is a very long story, but basically after their mother dies, siblings Sue and John hide her in the basement. John becomes increasingly obsessed with the thought that Sue killed their mother, and in punishment decides to make her believe she is going mad.

He writes messages on her bedroom mirror while she is asleep: IT WAS YOU or CAN YOU SEE NOW? It works and before long Sue is pushed to breaking point and having nightmares of their mother. Trust begins to break even quicker between the siblings through, and suspiciously, Sue does something that means she discovers John as the writer of the messages.

When she confronts him, he admits it, but threatens to call the police. She tells him he is in this just as much as she is, and he relents. Then I:

a. don't know how to finish it,
b. don't know how Sue can find out it's John.

PS: I don't want Sue to catch John in the act. Could it be done another way?

I like American Gods and Good Omens by Neil Gaiman. I also enjoy Piers Anthony's "Xanth" series (a guilty pleasure), and Tolkien's Lord of the Rings Trilogy (but I think The Hobbit or There and Back Again is the best). Any recommendations? I'm stuck reading cheesy romance novels and my brain is fading away! :)

It needs to be on the site, as I am unable to download. I must be able to read the book by clicking on a link online without downloading.

I have a question about V.C. Andrews. She has a ton of published novels...just how many of these books are actually written by her, before her death?

By my count, she has only written nine works, but there are so many other novels with her name, published after her death...

I always find that a little strange, considering these books are written by someone else, but still possess her name.

Anyway, how many did SHE actually write?

I have such bad writers block. Sometimes I won't get any ideas at all, and others I will get the stupidest ones in the world that I have to write or they won't leave me alone. This time is the worst though. I got writers block- in the middle of a sentence! I've tried thinking of different ways to write the sentence, I've taken a break, I gone through my notes and the rest of the story, but that sentence keeps getting stuck- right in the middle! Help!

i have a friend that was phyllis hyman's assistant for a number of years. there is a new book published recently and according to him, the story is not being told the way things really happen. he has lots of facts and pictures to prove it. he would like to have a ghost writer write for him. what would he have to do to begin this process?

My two main characters, Ethan and Olivia, have a time machine. They need to go to either the future or the past to prove that the machine works. They also need to get in some sort of trouble, preferably the kind of trouble that strengthens their bond and even makes them have to get closer physically to add to the romantic tension.

Unfortunately I can't think of a thing. Help!

I'm (a fifteen year old) writing a book, and the first chapter is a little more exciting than I meant to make it. From what I learned about writing stories, the story is supposed to build from the beginning to the climax, but in my first chapter, the protagonist has an argument with her best friend, gets robbed, and then help by a mysterious stranger (who later turns out to be the male lead). Is that too much? (Also, is it too cliche?)
