My favorite? I'll pick "The Two Mrs Grenvilles", though admittedly "A Season in Purgatory" is also very good.

By the way, if you watch the TV show "The Closer", did you happen to notice that Mr. Dunne was featured in the role of a reporter in the courtroom - not a speaking part, unfortunately, but I thought it was neat of them to include him as a spectator in a "high-profile" LA murder trial.

Hanve't read his book but enjoy watching Dominick Dunne: Power and Privilage on Court TV

I haven't read any of his novels, but I'll have to check them out now. I do enjoy his CourtTV show though!
