I love writing my own fiction or fantasy stories but lately has not been good.

maybe 4 or 5 years ago, I began writing a story about a lady warrior who fought monsters but it got really old even though I was writing it for years and it was my longest written story. I needed something new, other than just one objective of fighting monsters, something a reader will not expect.

I was also writting a humorous story about a gay vampire but humor just isn't my thing.

I need to write something serious, and very detailed but maybe with a touch of fantasy elements.

I was constructing one story about a girl who somehow falls prisoner to another world that loves to play tricks on the living person inhabiting its land.

then my imagination got really wild when I thought up her meeting a man that had been living there for many years and had lost all emotion, and how the world would make them see illusions and other wacky stuff.

What do you suggest I do to keep my intrest in these?

My story I'm going to write this year is about a girl who's dream is to become a writer. While she is trying to find her voice she develops an eating disorder She is then struggling to get her health back and become a writer.
One suggestion from a message board is: Writing Disorder.

I'm still working out the details of a story, for which I only have the characters and initial situations. So far I have (as short descriptions) a washed-up, perpetually inebriated ex-rocker rooming with a sensitive, outgoing albino lad with a habit of singing into his hairbrush. They're looking for a bassist for their band

Your job? Fill in the missing slot with a character. I already have some vague ideas about what the guy's like, but I'm really looking for input. I'm not going to steal your ideas or whatnot, and I'm not some hopeless amateur writer who has no idea how to make a story. I'm really just looking to see how creative y'all can be. Now on your marks, get set, think!

I am speaking about a real book, NOT the silly ones that we make up.
If you can remember the author, great.
My example:
FRENCHMEN, DESIRE, GOOD CHILDREN and OTHER STREETS OF NEW ORLEANS by John Chase
It's all about how the streets in New Orleans got their names. I found it very interesting. The title made me do a double-take when I first saw it at Marshall's Book Store. This was back in the 1960s.

It involves a future society were sex is dangerous and illegal unless married. Disease has made it highly unsafe. Those who are caught are sent to an island to die. Anyone know this one?? Author and title would be greatly appreciated. Working on a paper for a class. Thanks!

I saw a book for sale that supposedly teaches this skill (?) and it has piqued my interest. Not wanting to pay the $50 for the book, I thought maybe someone else might have some information about this to share.

i think its Edgar Allan Poe that wrote a story about a wife that sells her hair to buy her husband a chain (?) for his pocket watch; not knowing he sold his pocket watch to buy her a hair comb (?)....i might be wrong about the items, but its a really ironic story...BUT I FORGOT THE TITLE ...

Last month, a federal bankruptcy judge awarded rights to the book “If I Did it” to Fred Goldman’s family to help satisfy a $38 million wrongful death judgment against OJ Simpson. Beaufort, a small New York-based publisher, is reissuing “If I Did It” in October.

I believe that words should not be censored, so I am "ALL FOR" this new book. But at the same time it raises a moral issue.. that OJ Simpson is just laughing about what happened and trying to ca$h in on the whole ordeal. Eventhough it is going to be DISGUSTING, I think it should be published. Freedom of speech!?
Anyway I just wanted to see what you guys think. I might borrow the book and flip through it, but I certainly would never buy it!

What inspired Coleridge to write The Rime of the Ancient Mariner? Not too much is written about his inspirations for his writings. Was it because it enjoyed it, becuase he craved knowledge? What turned him on to the poem itself, and why that setting, why the mariner?

What is the wedding guest supposed to represent?

I don't necessarily need just five or at least five. The top ten would be great and the top three would be fine as well. Also, if possible, please put the website where you found the information.
