I'm writing a story for fun and i'm just wondering if its interesting so far. (be honest)

"...which is due the 23rd. Now before the bell rings I would just like to finish up the.." *RING* *RING*
The bell rang violently as the students franticly stuffed books and papers into there backpacks. It was friday at last and nobody had any intention of opening there backpacks again until sunday night. The hallways were suddenly flooded with people pushing and shoving there way to the front doors. Jack sat qietly at his desk waiting patiently for the halls to become deserted once again. He softly tapped his fingers on the desk as he watched Mr. Sanders gather up his papers.
"Ready for the weekend Jack?" asked Mr. Sanders suddenly as he placed his papers neatly in his breifcase.
"Huh? Oh... yeah." Answered Jack.
"Any big plans?"
"Yeah you know me," Jack stood up and pushed in his chair. "I'm full of big plans."
Jack hoisted his backpack onto his shoulders and made his way to the door.

Recently, I was showing some of my writing to teachers, proofreaders, and just basically putting it online (bad idea, I know, but no one was really helping me...) A general response that I got was that my main character was the epitome of teenage angst. That I knew. But I wanted readers to be able to relate to her. Because doesn't everyone go through that teenage angst thing at some time in their lives? But is 'relatable' essentially the same thing as 'cliched'? Is there a difference? If so, what is it? Please help!

Oh, and I saw that whathaveyoudone654 is having the same problem as me, it seems! So help us both please!

Every year we have a big term paper.
This year we have to write the paper on a book and I think do a character analysis.
What would be a good book to write this paper on?
I don't have to start writing for a few weeks, but I want to go ahead and start reading.
I am 17, so I would like it to be interesting to me.
What book should I choose?
I don't want to write about "To Kill a mockingbird" or any other books like that. Writng a book report on a classic book just seems kind of predictable to me.
I want my paper to blow my teacher away.
I am a good writer.
I want the book to be something kind of unexpected.
I want my paper to be really creative.
Please help.
Thanks!

This video, shows you how truly appreciative we should all be. I hope you watch it. I believe it is something everyone should see. That is how nice and important the message is. The music is incredibly beautiful too.

I love writing novels, and I have actually been working on one for about seven months, and it was just yesterday that I began re-reading it again, and I didn't quite like it.... I don't know why, if I had always loved the plot of my book before, that yesterday, I just started thinking: "This is not very good..."

I had only read my book once before, after I finished the first draft. Then, I finished writing the second draft yesterday, and I didn't like it... Not only did I start questioning my writing, but the whole plot of my book. For one moment, I actually said: "This is garbage!".... Is it normal for an artist not to appreciate much their own work, not being convinced about what they've just done, or is it wrong for me to feel that way?

We are reading "Rebecca" and a bonus question asked of the class is "Why would Max make a good name for a librarian's dog?" The main character's name is Max du Winter and he has 2 dogs that sleep in the library but could that really be the reason why? I am almost finished with the book and so far that is the only thing I can think of. Any ideas?

I am starting a teen magazine with some of my friends. It is going to have the fashion and beauty and all of that, but I want to put a lot of emphasis on art, music, books, and other creative or intellectual topics. I also plan to have a lot about health and the environment. I would love to have some ideas for articles. What would you want to read about in a magazine? What are some bands maybe that you would like 2 see reviewed? Health questions you may have? Anything at all that would interest you, please tell me!!!

p.s there will also be a website with all of the articles, so leave your email if u want me 2 contact you with the website when it gets published.
