What book? It is generally helpful to those you are asking a question of to give them information that may allow them to assit you in your search for an answer. With hundreds of literally thousands of books in exsistence, asking "what was the period of time covered by the book" without giving a title does not allow anyone to actually be of any help.

what period of time covered by the time travelling book by science fiction or fantasy author if question could be between 1800's and 20th century or Medievael to 20th or 21st. If question not understood could look up African in medievael ages this could add any information not known and supply more about something which is not looked at enough and create more questions about.
