I'm writing a book and am constantly needing names for characters. I like to go to:

thinkbabynames.com

But I was wondering if there was any other good sites that might have different ranges of names.

Any suggestions?

I wrote it, and I don't think it's very good, personally. Still, I'd like to get your opinion on this.

We're headed to Florida this Friday on an 11-hour drive, and my husband and I would like to listen to some audio books. We'll have our 4-year-old daughter with us, though, and want something we'll enjoy, but without the language, etc. in case she's listening in. Don't audio books have ratings just like movies? They should.

So I am an adult who loves Harry Potter, but would it look stupid if I wore a Harry Potter t-shirt?

It doesn't have Harry's face or anything on it. It is a black t-shirt that says "I solemnly swear that I am up to no good" on the front and "Mischief managed" on the back. If you haven't read the books, it probably doesn't make sense.

Am I too old?

Which potter movie do you think is the best so far ? I do not mean the best story,I mean artistically and best represents the stories as a whole? I loved The style of The Prisoner of Azkaban.

I have created over 100 stories and i love to have a central charector i can think like. As if i was in the story directly.

About 13 years ago i actually did put myself into it.

I was a history teacher who survives world war III (nuclear) and helps rebuild america and the many conflicts world wide that happen with the survivors.

What did the "secret weapon" end up being in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix? I just can't remember, was it the prophecy, or was it Harry, someone help me out.

They won, of course, but it was a gueling affair, with the battleroom so filled with a labyrinth of stars that hunting down the enemy during mop-up took forth-five minutes. It was Pol Slattery's Badger Army, and they refused to give up. There was a new wrinkle in the game, too--when they disabled or damaged an enemy, he thawed in five minutes, the way it worked in practice. Only when the enemy was completely frozen did they stay out of action the whole time. But the gradual thawing did not work for Dragon Army.

This is just my opinion on how the book is going to end, but I believe that harry will be the last horcrux. Seeing that MANY times it has been shown in books that parts of voldemort are in him. So i believe he will figure out that he is the last one and have to kill himself... any comments on it?

me and my friend were talking, and we both agree that harry is basically mediocre at life. if not for incredible luck and better friends, he would be long dead. he doesnt really have a good personality or anything really. but maybe thats what its all about, the average guy going above and beyond? idk, i still think he'll die in book 7. email me with theories if you want

I recently heard that a book is soon coming out on the market (or might have already come out). This book helps fight cigarette addiction and helps the reader quit smoking. Throughout the book, the author tells the reader to light up a cigarette and smoke, therefore by the end of the book, the reader is utterly disgusted with cigarettes. This book is said to work wonders and I was wondering if anyone knows the name of it because I want to get it for a family member.

I was wondering because Harry sees three people die before the second book, when he first rides to the school in the carriages pulled by thestrals. His parents, and professor Quirrel (sorry if I misspelled that, it's been about six or seven years since I read the first book). While it makes sense that his parents might not count in this, since he was an infant, what about Quirrel, who he kills?

I like the HP books (they aren't my favorite books, but they are pretty good), but this is the most glaring plot error I can picture, and I'm shocked that no one else has noticed it. Most of the time, when you make a mistake that obvious, don't they cut it out in editing?
