So I am an adult who loves Harry Potter, but would it look stupid if I wore a Harry Potter t-shirt?

It doesn't have Harry's face or anything on it. It is a black t-shirt that says "I solemnly swear that I am up to no good" on the front and "Mischief managed" on the back. If you haven't read the books, it probably doesn't make sense.

Am I too old?

Here is where I got the shirt:

It's fitted, but there is a regular t-shirt available. It's the "Official" WB Harry Potter online shop.

And yes, I love George and Fred, but I love the Marauders even more (except Wormtail, that goes without saying).

There are adults who wear wizard robes to the book releases; no, you are not too old (and comparitively sane).

When I've been in airports I check to see what other people are reading. Forthe last several years I have noticed that kids from about 8 or 9 all the way to their grandparents read Harry Potter. Wearing a Harry Potter t-shirt is someting that one should not do at one's own wedding, but to buy the book or see the movie, why not?
Do you just happen to be a fan of Ron's older brothers? (the ones that were still in school in the earlier books)

I have that shirt!! I'm wearing it today, to the midnight release of the movie, and I'm in my 20's. Don't worry - Harry Potter is NOT just for children. In fact, it's a sign of strong personality if you can embrace your likes and dislikes, despite what other people think and say. Embrace your love of Harry Potter!

This is the last chance to experience a new Harry Potter novel, so make the most of it! I hope you have a great time!

Not at all!! The most enthusiastic Harry Potter fans I know are adults. I'm almost 30, and I've worn my Gryffindor scarf or t-shirt to every film, book release, and meet-up with fellow (adult) HP fans. I always get compliments, and none of the muggles have ever bothered me. ;-)

(That sounds like an awesome shirt--where'd you get it?)

Hardly, I'm a few years older than you and have a Hogwarts t-shirt (small crest on the breast, everyone asks me if that was my school) and a Slytherin t-shirt. Now I want your t-shirt!
If you were dressing up as a Hogwarts student, then I'd say you are too old.

If my parents didn't object to Harry Potter, I would *totally* buy that shirt. The Marauders rule! (This is from a live-at-home college student not much younger than you.)

When Order of the Pheonix was being sold in Australia, I joined the cue lined up outside the book shop.
80% were over 20 ... way over 20

The t-shirt you discribed sounds perfect ... much better than, "Rubeus Hagrid, I want to have your baby"

No it's not stupid at all. I think it's cool. It's cool to just be who you are, have your own interests, and who cares what other people think. Life is too short to worry about that - have fun, enjoy the books, enjoy the movies. Live your life! I think you sound cool!!
