Most magazines publish a web edition of their magazine. Usually the title of the magazine is the web address, such as 'usatoday.com' or 'sunset.com' or 'people.com'. Most newspapers do the same - 'latimes.com', 'sfgate.com' (San Francisco Chronicle), 'nytimes.com'.
I've yet to find good books published online, but the ones at the local library are still free! If you like to keep your books and read them over and over again, thrift stores sell books for really cheap - about fifty cents to one dollar a book. It's a great way to build up a library on the cheap.
That's what I do, anyway.

there are many book websites where you can read online. But the case here is that you either have to pay for them or they are free if there is no copyright.

Try typing books in google and you’ll get the google books page. That’s actually the best book page ever
