The reason i am putting up this post is because of the Tintin comic incident in Uk, I recently went to Borders Book Store and saw African American section! and i was just amazed to see that because everything in that section was for African Americans written by African Americans, and was just little surprised on why Borders would only have African American drama, suspense, romance etc and No other section for any other ethnicity.....Why Only African American why not also Chinese American, Caucasian, Indian, Mexican.......so i thought it was kind of unfair. And to be honest with you if we went through every race and segregated their work by ethnicity then wouldn't that be silly if a writer wrote a beautiful poem and it was placed in the hispanic section under poetry. Would that give his writing any credit or could it be made to public for all eyes to see not as a race but as a individual writer. ......whats your stand on this?

next saturday, the seventh and final book in the harry potter series will be out! what are your feelings about this? are you happy that this will all end and we will finally know what happens to everyone, or are you sad that there will be no more new books, no more anticipation to eagerly see what will happen next to Ron, Harry, and Hermione?

I think he'll turn out to be a good guy because Dumbldore always trusted him, and Dumbldore was never wrong. Also, there's no way Dumbledore would plead for his life, so when he was pleading with Snape at the end of Half-Blood Prince, he must have been pleading for Snape to kill him. He and Snape must have planned Dumbledore's death as part of their strategy to defeat Voldemort. The reason will surely be revealed in Ghastly Hallows.

But I have the feeling Snape will die in the next book, mainly because everybody who protects Harry seems to die (his parents, Sirius Black, and Dumbledore so far). But my wife thinks he'll live and become the next headmaster of Hogwarts.

What do you think?

My husband and I have an ongoing disagreement about this: I hate it when a book from the library turns out to have been "proofread and corrected" by a previous reader. I mean those times you find someone has taken it upon him/herself to correct a typo or what they think is a mistake. He thinks it is OK to do and does it himself. I would never dream of marking up a library book. Where do you stand on this?

Are there any good websites where I could research storylines for my mystery novels - murder weapons and methods, injuries, cause of death - all that stuff. Or maybe you know of books I could buy that might be useful?

This book has entirely changed my life and i'm only half way through, i recommend this to ANYBODY..it's an absolutely amazing book, and you'll come out a confident, energised, optimistic goal-getter when you've finished this.

I've just finished all the Pendergast novels by Preston and Childs and loved them. I also really enjoy Marcus Davenport from the Prey novels by John Sandford, the Harry Bosch novels by Michael Connelley, and the work of W.E.B Griffin. Unfortunately, I'm fully up to date.

Other authors/series I might find interesting?

Thanks in advance!!!

I'm brushing up on HBP, and noticed the metric system is not used. The sign to Great and Little Hangleton shows miles, and a boy eats a pound of doxy eggs. Does the UK version differ in that respect?

I know of changes in the other books, like "lemon drops" are called something else, and I think trainers are called something different.

Hi Everyone....I would really appreciate serious answers on this question, as it is not worth my time to chase down false answers. Thanks!

So...I've written one book, and gone through a place that printed it and provided it...it's even listen on Amazon...but that's about it. I never had to pay to have it published, and that was nice...but now I want to go about finding a real agent who will accept my work (I have the beginnings of about 3 more books, as well as a children's book written). I want one that is certified, and will be able to promote my work, without it costing me money outright...I'm a bit wary of that kind of business. I'm working on a degree in English, which I'll take to the editing world, and hopefully be able to make more contacts, but as of now I have very little contact with the publishing world, and I would very much like to continue to produce work. Any suggestions?

Thank you~
